Inaugural North vs. South .90 Shootout @ Numidia
 

Join us the weekend after the LODRS Race - June 15th & 16th at Numidia! The Mid Atlantic .90 Association present the Inaugural North vs. South .90 Shootout. Come run the D1 race the weekend before (June 7-9th) (D3 Guys this could be your out of Divisional) leave your stuff at the track and run 2 more races and who knows what else we come up with the following weekend!! This is a call out to Western New York Super Rod, NESSA, TNT Super Series, New England .90 Series, Great Lakes Pro Tree Series and anyone else to come play with us. We are working on details as far as this goes but, look for an announcement soon as far as how we will determine who is the best of the best in the associations. May even see some side bets between the Presidents....I mean who doesn't want to see Jason, Rob or Ted wear something goofy since they lost a bet.

Long time supporter of the Mid Atlantic .90 Series - VP Race Fuels has stepped up for this event. All winners on both days will receive a $100 Gift Certificate towards VP race fuel (6 total) and all runner-ups will receive a case of VP Racing Oil (6 total) along with 6 random winners throughout the weekend will have the chance to win a case by just buying a tech card. Talked with Vinny at Numidia and they will put together a $30 T&T on Friday, June 14th from like 10-3:30pm for those who want to get some info at the track incase you've never been there. We may also look into putting a race later on that night as a bonus if we can get sponsor support. If no race happens we are looking at getting a bus to cart racers and family over to Knoebel's amusement park at Night. For those who have never been to Knoebel's it's a FREE admission park and you pay per ride like at a carnival and they have some great rides. www.knoebels.com

On Saturday the 15th we will probably kick things off early (9:30-10) and try to get a few rounds in before Numidia kicks off their bracket program. So for an additional $80.00 you can enter the bracket race at Night and Numidia always guarantees the purse and it's usually $2,000 to win. A racers BBQ will follow the .90 race on Saturday and EVERYONE is invited. Then Sunday we will try to get things started at about the same time since I know a good amount will want to get on the road home. Unlike the .90 Nationals from a few years back their will be no pre-entry since it seemed only the pre-entry people came that weekend as a lot of people were waiting to see what weather looked like.

Thanks Drew, really hoping to see a lot of support for this event. I know it can be a tow for some but, we will make it a fun time for everyone and hopefully this becomes a regular event on the schedule. Now, that Numidia has a D1 event I think people now realize how much work the DiMino family have put into the track over the years to make it where it is today. Yes, the hills can be a pain to tow but, it was a 6 round race all the way across for the D1 race in 2018 for the .90 Racers so hopefully we can increase that.

The Flyer for the North vs. South Shootout. Thanks to Brad Coryell and Trail Blazin Designs for making this bad boy up.

Right now with a few bracket events popping up for big $$$ I haven't got much interests from the Up North Contingent except Drew's Group from LVD, Jason and the WNYSRA and some guys from NED so here is how this will work:


We are going to split the states, kinda like the bracket finals.

Team North will be racers from:

Northern Pa, North Jersey, Canada, New York, Mass, Conn, RI, Vermont, Maine and Michigan.


Team South Would Be:

Southern Pa, South NJ, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, W. Virginia and Ohio.


How Points will be awarded:
1 point for every round win - a Win nets an additional 5 points, Runner- Up 3 points
2 points if you go Dead-On the Dial and win the round - 8.900. 9.900, 10.900
1 point if you have a .000 light and win the round in eliminations
4 points if you go Dead-On the Dial and have a .000 Light
3 points if you take out the overall champion from the previous season from any of the series attending.
Thinking of some other things.

I believe Jason is also looking to do a Calcutta to beef the purse up.
