'67 Shelby slow build
I see light at the end of the tunnel! Drive train is finally in the garage and the car is on it's way to paint jail. Maybe I can join the fun starting next year.

Looks good in blue with Shelby stripes. My '68 Coupe has them. It's Race Red..

I'm a little concerned building a car for stock, hopefully it will be competitive in heads up races. It took about 10yr to accumulate the parts and spread out the cost. hence the "slow build" Some build info - 428ci rated at 388hp. Blair Patrick specs and heads, Pettis Performance machine work and short block, Remac C-4, Holroyd carb, A-1, Open Tracker, Caltracs, MW, Strange, Wilwood, Centerline & FE Power. |
Re: '67 Shelby slow build
Are we looking at a Stocker? I can find 355 and 390 hp ratings for the 428, but not the 388 you mention. Is this the large or small valve version? There is a 385 and a 395 hp in the SS factor list, though.

More: . A friend of mine has a 428 or 429 SCJ stick (not a Shelby) to compliment his T-U/SA Comet. Calls it his "10 second street car". How does Mike's engine differ from the later version of the BB Ford? |
