Did GM ever produce any performance based 23 degree, aluminum heads ? If so....how were they ?

GM #19300956 FAST BURN HEADS ---other wise everything was 18-15-12 degree- no idea how they worked no experience with them

Good morning ,
In "as cast" condition, most of GM's cylinder heads ( stock or performance) are not to spectacular, flow wise. Quality of the castings are very good. The machine work from the factory is good, I would still strip them down and check your clearance's. In a performance application I would install bronze guide liners and perform a multi angle valve job on both intake and exhaust valves and seats..
The biggest operation is making sure the valve springs match the camshaft that you would be planning on using, be sure to get the open and close pressure's corrected. Also making sure the retainers clear the top of the valve guides and seals for the lift the camshaft will be opening.
Then check and equalize your combustion chamber CC's .
That's my two cents worth, new castings with up to date improvements are money well spent.

113 corvette head, also used on ZZ4.

AS I SAID the fast burn head ---same head as on ZZ4

113 corvette(ZZ4) and 956 fast burns are not the same.

The Fast Burn heads are decent out of the box
but with a little work on the short side they become
Stellar!

What intake works good with them, on say a 327 super stock type engine ?
