Roger Weaver.
Past U.S. Nationals S/G champ and all around good guy Roger Weaver passed last week. He was a friend to me and dozens of other young racers and hotrodders on Indys Southside.

Re: Roger Weaver.
Dang, more sad old hometown news. Another good one lost. So long ago I had hoped to buy Roger's blue 67/68 Mustang coupe when he put it up for sale. But I was scratching my way out of a big hole at the time and couldn't swing it. Knew and later raced with his son Jeff.

Tom Dillman here. You hurt alot of feelings over the years with that Granada.

Re: Roger Weaver.
LOL! Yeah, it was a sneaky little bugger. Mustang wheelbase with Maverick suspension. Had changed my mind about selling it and was going to put it on the street. Mufflers and street tires was all I had to do. But it was still advertised in The Trader paper and a father/son came down from Lafayette and bought it as a roller. First time I went to IRP, Marty Barrett was still checking in cars. He said: Well, I'll be. Somebody found something to do with a Granada! I think it might have been a Ford only race. Fun Ford Weekend?
Was it your 64 Fairlane Roger fixed the roof on or was it one of your brothers? Victor in Kingman |

The Fairlane was mine. I put on the street after that. My son raced it for years then got his own cars after that. He still has it at his shop. I gave it to him when I moved to Florida.
