1969 NHRA Nationals, 69 Buick wins D/S=9.00 what car/engine

Well I am still slowly compiling NHRA history from 1971 back.
Just looking at 1969 Indy Nationals.

Says that William Robertson won D/S=9.00 in a 69 Buick.
12.24 at 109.69

Did the 69 Buick come with an optional 440-six-pack? (LOL)

Otherwise the lightest 69 Buick I see in the guide was the GS400 Coupe, 400/345hp Stage 1 with W/P=10.29 which would be in F/S=10.00 and not D/S=9.00

Did a 69 Buick really win this class?
Hard to believe the 400/345 Stage 1 would be factored to 390hp...

OK More mysteries, again from the 1969 Indy Nationals results.
Drag News, 6 Sep 1969.
Their text says the C/SA=8.50 class winner was Bill Morgan in a 1964 GTO.

Well, the top GTO was of course the 389/348-6v which has a W/P=9.50 so would run in E/SA (with a powerglide?????) and not C/SA.
Maybe it was the GTO with the 421HO option, like the magazine article.

Are these typos or how do you miss stuff like that?

Thanks that was my hunch, right driver, wrong car.

Not sure how you could mistake the War Wagon for a 64 GTO but seems they did just that.

Now there's still that Stage 1 Buick mystery...

Most of the old pics I have of the '64 & '65 GTO Stockers show 'em running in B/S.
