Operation Overlord
 
Hopefully we all recognize the date. D-Day. With all that is going on in the world and US right now please take a moment to remember the beginning of the days that truly brought freedom and marked the turn of the tide. D-Day casualty figures are approximately 2,700 British, 946 Canadians, and 6,603 Americans. May peace be with you.

We need to look into the faces of these brave young men and see that they were truly the "greatest generation". They willingly threw themselves into a meat grinder, they did it for us. We need to remember the sacrifices that they made for us to be free and remember that on this day, the United States became a trusted allied to all who sought to be free and a Superpower with a moral compass.
