Input needed on Willy’s Restrictor Plate

Need a quick way to knock ~7 tenths off a Super Street car without buying a timer and stop and working to get ratios. Not sure I’ll need those long term anyway so thought the Willy’s housing that has the adjustable plates and mounts under the carb would be a good “cheap and dirty” approach. Any inputs? Thanks

I know a bracket racer that has one on a 10.50 car and loves it. The car stayed very consistent and adjustable to always be fast car in class he runs in. Not sure on how much ET he scrubs off with it.

From what I've read, you may or may not be able to kill enough with the Willy's plate. Right on the edge.

EZ Plate will work, but you'll need to carry a variety of plates to dial the car rather than just turning a bolt on the Willy's.

Thanks guys, confirms what I was thinking, hate to kill MPH but if I buy the car I may just unhook the four barrel and see if it will still cut a light and if halfway close use weight to fine tune. This would be a one race deal, guys will be fighting to line up with me first round....get your first round duck right here! If I buy the car will get one of the Sinnett stops and test, test, test.

Thanks again.

It's been known to happen, see my album...linky below

The Roy Johnson built yellow Duster was the killer car, some success with the full Chassis Avenger most recently before a foray into Stock eliminator. Now working toward a Super Stock legal roller with a Bracket/Super Street motor.

Good luck this weekend!
