Live from VMP
 

Well after a few days visiting family and seeing some old friends we made the trip up to VMP with no issues but of coarse its life on the road so after arriving I took care of a winch wiring issue (its nice to be able to get the car out of the trailer) but wouldn't you know last night the coach generator starts acting up. Its only going to be (97degs) today so I think I'll make that priority one for today. Going to change the fuel filter hopefully that'll take care of it. Cooler weather is coming for the weekend.

Well the fuel filter did the trick the generators been running 24hours with out a hiccup (thanks goodness). How hot did it get? It cracked the 100 deg mark, its supposed to be much more seasonable today. Last night a bunch of us went out to Joes steak and seafood, dinner was very good and the BS was flowing as you can imagine Were scheduled to get two time runs today. With the number of cars here its going to be a busy day.

Have fun Robbie and all the racers at VMP this weekend. Did I ever tell you that Andrea and I got married (April, 29, 2000) during the Pennzoil Nationals right in our pit area at VMP? Had over 30,000 people at our wedding, LOL! And a local news station videoed it and put in on the news that night. Not to many people can say that. Good Luck Robbie.

Ray that's pretty cool. What a difference a couple days make. Yesterday was much better then Thursday but this morning its 52degs (how fast will it be?). Sorry for the lack of photos but I'm having computer problems and can't down load any? Congrats to Keith Mayers on his top 8 win yesterday I don't know the winners of the other classes.

We made it thru the 1st round yesterday so we get to play today. The weather is going to be a bit warmer 78deg for a high and there's only sportsman class cars in competition today but we can't start engines until 10 this morning.

Well the luck withdraws ran out in the semis for us David Markle gave me a driving lesson . This is our last NHRA race of the year but It was good to see our racing family one last time. Sorry for the lack of photos, we took em just can load them. Congrats to the winners and R/Us in all the .90 classes.

Robbie, sorry you're not going to Rockingham. Really thought you were rolling there for a bit yesterday, watched quite a bit on D1TV. Good to see Jay Cepelka go to the finals yesterday and good luck to him at Charlotte.

Come south again whenever you want to get away from the cold this winter. There is always a race going on somewhere from middle GA down into Florida.

Robbie, nice run at it this weekend and sorry I never made it around to speak with y'all. Nice little story from Sunday, me and my wife were up watching and when you pulled in the water box my wife said " now I like that car right there!" She said you got one sharp ride buddy!
