Mid Atlantic Series Race # 1 & 2 - April 29 & 30th
 

The Mid Atlantic .90 Series & Top Challenge Series is excited to kick off its 2023 season at Atco Dragway on April 29th & 30th, 2023. With new partnership from Fuel Factory the season is ready and eager to kick off the season with new categories added.

From what I can tell from the Atco Website there will be an Open Track Rental T&T from 10am till 4pm (Gates open at 9am) on Friday the 28th for $250 per car. Please contact the track from more information at 856-768-2167 on the rental.

Gates will open at 5pm from the Friday Night Street Night - I cannot find info on the cost but, I think it is $50 to Test & Tune that night. If you are coming just to park for Saturday, you will still be charged the $10 or $15 spectator fee for the night.

On both Saturday the 29th & Sunday the 30th, Gates open at 8am with racing kicking off at 9am with Juniors. They also have No Box & Doorslammer race on Saturday mixed in with the .90 cars & Top 32 Challenge, on Sunday it will be Motorcycles & Juniors along with .90 & Top 32.

For those of you wondering about this weekend, we will make a decision by Thursday mid-afternoon about this weekend and our plan of attack. We know we all want to race but, with the forecast that we’re looking at right now, we don’t want you all to sit in the rain for two days. We also don’t want to call it too early and then the weather shifts towards the positive side but, we also know some of you start traveling early Friday morning to set up for the weekend. Right now, it doesn’t look good for a make-up date at any tracks as ATCO is pretty much packed the rest of the year and other dates that are available at other tracks are on top of NHRA or PDRA local events in which most will be attending. We will keep you updated as the days progress!

Well, we tried to wait it out to see if the weather would get better but, instead it actually got worse! We know a lot of people start to get on the road early Friday AM and wanted to give you all ample time to plan other activities or take back a PTO day at work.

This is definitely not how we wanted to kick off the 2023 season with 2 washed out events. We are looking into other options for possible make ups but, none of it is set in stone yet for us to announce! We will try again in 3 weeks at Cecil County Dragway on May 20th & 21st to kick off the season!

Since we all have a weekend off now, anyone who was planning to sign up for points please mail them in. The next event will be a little hectic for the girls and want to make sure things go nice and smooth for you all!
