I would like to say a big “Thank You” to Larry Merk and Steve Teeter for all the work that was done to get this series together and the effort put in at every race. They both should have had a step counter on. It was something that was needed in the Northwest.

I would also like to thank Mike Merk and Ron McDowell for their help and support! My apologies if I left anyone else out.

I had a great time and I believe others did also.

Looking forward to running this again next year. Hopefully more will attend

A definite BIG Thank You to Steve and Larry for getting this association going. Without their efforts it would NOT be doing as well as it is. Also a shout out to Kathy Poitra for all her work on the facebook page and photo taking at events. Even when faced with no car to race at Woodburn she was a great source of moral support at the final weekend. To those that designed and made the awesome trophies - Great Job.

I got to meet and make friends with some people I didn't know before and renew some old friendships as well, so this has been a great adventure for me.

Those who did not make the events missed out on some great times at various drag strips with a great bunch of people. I am sure this association will continue to grow in the coming years (good things take time) and with more racers showing up for the events it can become something for all of us to be very proud of.

Thanks again to ALL who got this association going. Great Job.

My turn to thank folks.

A big thanks to Steve Teeter for taking the initiative to get this group going. He worked long and hard with track managers to schedule this race series. And he continued working with them on all the details related to running the events. Nobody saw his work, but it was invaluable. Thanks, Steve.

My son, Mike Merk, didn't know he was volunteered when I signed up to support this race association. We collaborated on the design and construction of the trophies, he posted qualifying sheets and ladders within minutes of their release, and he posted photos of winners, runners-up, and various award winners. Thanks, Mike.

Kathy Poitra set up and maintains the Northwest Class Racer Facebook page. Without it, we wouldn't be able to communicate as well as we do with all the racers in the Northwest. As Ron noted, she also took a lot of race photos and posted them for others to view. Thanks, Kathy.

Ron McDowell is one of the most enthusiastic people I have ever met. Boundless energy. He was always ready to lend a hand with any task needing attention. His help was invaluable. Thanks a lot, Ron.

And a BIG thank you to all the racers who attended our races. Your support of this race series will always be the key to our success. I'm looking forward to an even better series of races next year.
