Here is a color keyed extended analysis of results from Winter, Spring, and Indy Nationals. I plan to add links to some other helpful threads but to get started here is what I have compiled, in the following posts.

And the 1966 US Nationals at Indy.
In B/SA=8.70, the only 62 Chev that fits is a 409/409.
Among other mysteries, how did an AUTOMATIC 409 sneak in? :mad: Same way all the Automatic 406 & 427 steel body Fords snuck in?

Finally, this is a reserve post where I will put tables of RECORDS for that year. Not quite done with those yet but coming.

Meanwhile here are a few other links re 1966 Stock & SuperStock:

New 390GT Comets at Pomona. Did they already have the non-production aluminum intakes? Probably. Did the hood scoops work? Probably not, NHRA booted the GTO scoops from Pomona, not in production yet.
