IHRA @ Columbus

I have sent emails, waiting for replies.
I would like to race at Columbus, but basically all I know are the dates and purse.
I need to know more than that before I take off three days of work, tow 5-6 hours.

I think this is where you pre-enter and purchase tickets.

I've not found the rules we are racing by. Where can you find them? Classes indexes??
Have they fixed the goofy seat belt and chassis cert foolishness? They can fix it now.

I have also sent an e-mail requesting rules and have heard nothing in over 2 weeks. There are plenty of people listed as employees but no titles. I sent it to general questions.

Appears to be a copy and paste of NHRA, just reformatted.

That makes sense to me. Makes it easy for us to go to either event. I?m hopeful they fix the issues with NHRA?s classification guide and how they adjust. I can?t seem to find that information.

Rules, indexes now posted at least a little information.
has super stock production and crate motor stockers listed in indexes, but no mention in rules, so not sure if they were maybe left in indexes by accident.

That's an odd exclusion because they have designations and indexes listed for all of the Stock FS/ classes?

I like that idea, they are paper cars from the manufacture's, like the 60's lightweight cars from the Big 3.

Doubt it. I have never seen IHRA run class eliminations. Just looked at their website and it looks like it crashed or they took it down. It was up a little while ago and I looked at the classes and rules. Rules mirrored NHRA

They ran class eliminations at the World Nationals, i'm sure they probably did at other events.

They used to have class eliminations at the Northern Nationals when they were held at US 131 as well as the World Nationals.

I'd forgotten.... So they did run Class. If they want participation pulled from SGMP's Sports, they need to do it again...

The fact is they have not run any events of this caliber for many years. You have to expect there will be some problems/issues at the beginning. Patience will be needed. Dont expect it to run as seamlessly as a NHRA national event. Like others have said this is a good thing for our sport.
