We attended both years with two cars, it was a blast
and one of the run races I have been to in last 60 years!

Lots of activities and things to do all the time. Car Show/Slalom/
Concert/Swap Meet/ Barbecue/More! First year Jon even got to the Finals
in his Superstocker and had a big time payout unlike most of the races we attend.

It is fun to be the featured show and center of attraction for the Fans = for a change!

I would love to run this race if anyone has a car available in the area..

I'm debating on running this race, in a bracket class.

Good luck with the Combo Class, hope you get the 50 cars! What has been the car count in the past years?

Re: Muscle Cars At The Strip- LVMS 2025

Over 50 racers showed up for the first 2. Normally the weather is doable if not great. There is a lot of money to win. Last year numerous folks besides Phil put up some cash prizes. Like my dear friend John Irving said. Car shows, swapmeet, plenty of activities. Plus it's Vegas if you are traveling.

My son whose Business is Boulder City Trailers put up
$1,000 in the name of his business (Not Contingent). In return a couple of
Stock/SS people ended up generously buying trailers from him.

A Win/Win for everyone! Plus, he brought home a good
chunk of the $10,000.00 purse.

Absolutely one of the best times we have ever had at a Racetrack.

We may have a couple of rental Stock/SS cars available
for that race.

That's interesting! Any details you care to share? I think you would be selective on who rents. ;)

If interested PM us.

Preferences to people that we know.

We really hope that it will draw at least 50 guys
this year so that we can keep it going. Opportunities
for places to race Stock/SS for any decent money are
dreadfully limited out here.

The payoffs at this race are excellent, but every round
is a tough one!

Thanks John!

I'll talk with you this weekend about it, if you are racing.

Justin Lamb was also here testing and spanked Jon
in Pro.

Jon was .030 and one off and was not even close
to Justin.

I sent my application to the Glendora office to add a Stock number to my membership. This was done last Tues. & sent overnight. It has been in limbo & found out today it's lost.

I'm calling Glendora tomorrow to see if I can get my number over the phone.

GTX John, I'll give you a call tomorrow if I can't get the number.

I am not sure if you need a number?
I am not sure that my son is correct (Never trust
anyone under 60).
It would be Phil that could say for certain I believe.
I am currently in LA tomorrow and could perhaps go
to NHRA (Just a few blocks away and pay for number
for anyone to expedite getting a number assigned.

They should be able to send you a temporary license through email that will work until you can get your actual license card. I have had to race off of a temporary license through email a couple of times. You will just have to call the division office to get that email.

Cglrcng 02-26-2025 11:28 AM

Re: Muscle Cars At The Strip- LVMS 2025

Just ask them today to e-mail the temp license. Or take John up on the offer. I have had a pkg. now stuck at the Upland office of USPS (regional mail facility since the 18th), marked received, but waiting for package acceptance that was purchased in Ontario, CA 15 days ago...something about someone firing almost all of the mail handlers. Nothing is moving through that facility at this time.

Luckily it can be done online/phone/fax, and they will e-mail the temp lic./numbers.

Roll Call!

Who is going to support this great race and take a swing for a $10,000 payday?

It would awesome if we could round up some prizes to help support. If you?re unable to join maybe dig in and help show everyone you want to keep Class Racing going in the West.

I?ll throw $100 in for best losing package first round.
Also $100 to the car with the best Wheelie performance the whole event. We will need to find a judge.
$50 to the qualifier that lands on the bottom of the top half. Qualifying off index so be prepared for possible weighing..

Should be a nice weekend, weather wise. Best of luck for those able to attend. I put up $500.00 myself last year for my late wife. I won a 50.00 gift certificate I could never use.Like all sports, keeps you coming back when you do well. I would have to borrow a car. Time for the next generation to enjoy!

Re: Muscle Cars At The Strip- LVMS 2025

I am pre-entered. But, the strangest things always pop up at the worst of times. Switching from wheels/tires (to get the car on the trailer in Phx. (I noticed the outer CV boot was split on pass. side slickest grease ever invented on the inner side of the wheel, none on the fender well equals none on the track ....thank the lord, but the boot still had a
lot of grease in it). Cleaned it all up, broke out the Super glue and brakekleen, and welded the cracked area temp to get it back to Vegas, ordered the boot kit before leaving the track on e-bay from Ontario, CA.

That is the package stuck in the Post Office in Upland, CA. Picked up another outer boot before going back up to Vegas on Saturday AM. Planned on rebooting the outer Saturday morning at Storage in Vegas 6:00 AM (ooops, ck'd schedule late we race at 9:00, not 11, no Jr's today, rebooting work changed to Saturday night instead, was no longer leaking so good to go as temp repair is safe),. 034, .032 T.T. lights (not going to be enough today with this group, pushed harder...too hard red 1st rnd., repair underway early, and including a great dinner, and an 11:30 P.M. nearly midnight run to get this 1 of 2 Auto Zone stores open 24 hrs a day, that actually had an inner boot in Stock (and worked all night to get it cleaned up properly, stretched over the inner end all the way to the outer end of a 4 foot axle, greased, banded, and reinstalled without waking up pit area partners, 2 coffee runs to warm up a bit, and a Petro Shower and clothes change as the glorious sun
rise came forth (TY here for the loan John and Jon Irving of your Battery Operated Impact Driver, it saved me in the pits), saved the noise making button up of the fastners until the 1st engine fire-up, but got it all done before the 1st time trial of the day Sunday at 9:00 AM Sportsman call (though with not enough time after the tightening of everything and really no way to accurately align the front end in the pits and knowing the front right did not fully get back into alignment perfectly slightly toed out, so much warm up coffee though I was consistently, red,
-.032, (with a tie rod adjustment between
the 2 T.T. passes to attempt to correct the toe out condition) -.034 (2 major changes after zero sleep lower air pressure in front slicks to increase rollout, laze the tree and...junk .111 out again 1st rnd....one too many changes, too much coffee and no sleep.

I am home safe, car is mechanically fixed (appointment for full alignment scheduled for Thursday at 11:00 in Vegas, so it will be right for MATS. A lousy weekend as far as the continued race results column, but the unscheduled racing repair, will not interfere with the scheduled upgrade drop off after MATS or the actual racing on non-refundable entries. And the March/April calender of race dates is still full!

The little stuff (that really is bigger stuff), you don't count on happening you cannot schedule for! You just deal with it the best you can as it crops up.

I would not trade the hard work for anything in the world right now...steel tempers steel, steel sharpens steel.

Sunday AM Sasha was right behind me in the lanes for first rnd. (And I told her to tell that Hoefer guy to quit beating up on his wife), as I was taking apart the car Saturday they both reached the finals I heard on the radio she cut a perfect .000, and...sadly she was a little too fast to the stripe (I know that feeling Sasha). He's not only good, he is lucky too!

Dear Lord...I need some of that luck. Please? See you guys there. I hope we have a good turnout...looks like possible chance of some rain Thursday, and cooler temps in store again.

When we got down to 3 cars, Sasha put down a .01 to

I think the two of them may actually be Robots!
They are just consistently THAT darn good.
We are hoping she finds time to run one of our
