We are sitting in Lenders Lot #88 in line! That is 1 hour after they started stacking. Parking was supposed to start at 9 but looks like they are running behind ! Looking forward to a great weekend! Weather is supposed to be hot and no rain!

Well we are in and parked. We wanted electric but they directed us to a spot by the scoreboard that is only 110, so I guess it is running generator all weekend! Things are going pretty quickly now. When you get your number in Lenders Lot you go all the way to the front to pay and get armbands. It was a long way for an old woman to walk!!

Forgot to post this yesterday; at the end of the track is real snake pit. The left coast Cobra Jet cars are here for the points race and next weeks snake reunion. There’s all kinds of FoMoCo’s hear.
It should be a good time this weekend.

Why do you suppose Norwalk can't put up the detailed results, etc. , with the Live Timing?

And now for some bad news. A Top Dragster flipped and went down next to the wall. Don’t know the condition of the driver but he is still with us. We had a Super Street car crash and the driver exited the car under his own power. All of this is what we heard in the pits. On a lesser level John Calvert’s Cobra Jet came loose in the trailer on the trip and made the right rear quarter panel used up. But with a few sheet metal screws it was good enough to race. It’s not bad news to most of us but Rusty Hall is driving a 135 Cobra Jet this weekend in Stock, and he’s done a lot of winning in those cars.

And the good news is it’s another great day of racing at best track in America

Data feed from the Compulink to the live timing computer is not functioning. I am going to grab the time slip app data today although there is periodic delays in it updating. Frustrating for me as well.

The sheets are on my Facebook! Going to be another beautiful day here today! Bad news another super street has already crashed this morning but nobody hurt! I like running super stock! I get to sleep in a little until those alarm stockers wake me up!! Everyone gets one more run today then round 1 for everyone!

The 2 cars right before him in the same lane both went for wild rides up on 2 wheels and crossing over in the same location, with the Merc slapping the wall. Someone should have been looking at the track.

Last nite the stands had family’s in them, old and young. Everyone was well behaved and I believe everybody used the trash cans that were conveniently placed. For this race the traditional hand dipped ice cream was sold in sealed one pint containers. Quality of the ice cream according to my tastebuds has not changed.
Dumbo was a big hit with the little kids and kids at hart, several pictures were taken with kids in the picture. My favorite picture so far is the one grandma in a wheelchair took of the whole family in staging. What grandma didn’t realize is that I just checked my tires the last time and was getting into the car. There must have been 10 or 12 people to be arranged to get the perfect picture. For me I had to hustle to catch up and get strapped in. I got my gloves on as the car in front of me got pulled into the water box.

Thanks for that update, it is amazing how much us old guys that no longer race rely on that info while watching a race. I posted about it a couple of times on D3 Facebook page which is not often updated. A local guy from the norwalk area posted how to down load the application that lets one see the time slips same as you were posting on the live stream. That helped. Still the live timing is hard to beat when you want to go back and remind yourself how things went in the recent past. Thanks for trying to help! Much appreciated!

Congrats. Mike Smith is smiling down on this! He was #5 nationally with that car one year in the 80's.
You may already know this: that car is good for hauling people to the food stand!
