Hey guys, its good to be back in D1 at Maple Grove Raceway. Here is my roll in video. Warning... the ride starts off well, but I do get a little salty with my language... so if expletives are something you don't want to here, you may want to pass this one up.

Good morning Ken and the gang - beautiful day here at Maple Grove - we're in and pitted and you won't believe how many rigs are in already with today being parking with test n tune a little later .For those who are on the fence as they say it's time to saddle up and get here as we're looking at a extra nice weekend here at the 'grove .

Howdy Jack... its going be a big weekend for sure. Weather looks obsoletely perfect. It is a little chilly this morning, as the south has spoiled me. We will have cool mornings for this race... it will be interesting to see how many racers protect their combo. Current temperature is 55, going up to 72. Temps will be warmer as the days go on.

Good morning members and guests - Can you believe we're at Maple Grove - why you ask - 'cause this morning I'm looking at nothing but blue skies and sunshine and its expected to be like this thru monday .

Yesterday's test n tune went off ok with the exception of the fact that plenty and I mean plenty of cars showed up in the lanes all day .In the years I've been coming here this year will be one of the most attended in quite some time it seems . While running things yesterday they kept up with the track - plenty of dragging and spraying - yesterday wasn't cheap but at least the track was good.All that plus it was a bargain for the Alcohol cars- they got make lots of passes for the same price as the stockers etc.

Got to sleep in because of the rotation this morning with Stock being second and S/S out fourth .

Thanks go out to Tommy Goldman and his S/G guys - last night it was cheesesteak sandwiches and pierogies w/buttered onions on the menu - talk about good grub - that's livin' .

Thanks also go out to Doug Walker for getting some very nice shots yesterday while Ken and I were testing - well done Doug.

Interesting 1st round in Stock and Super Stock. Lots of red lights (both sides), lots of tires blown off, and at least three instances of racers breaking out after their opponent was way back, coasting down the track. Good luck to all tomorrow.

Hi kids - So for the last day and a half I've been fighting Internet woes as sometimes happens on the road .That said if you aren't here you are surely missing out on a whopper of a race.

Roll call ........

First thing is our almost resident journeyman announcer Alan Rinehart is back on he mike and most whom I've spoke with can't be happier about it. Second is Penny Bender is on the grounds even with her medical issues she is here cheering on her husband who is on to rd2 tomorrow.And then there is Russ Wernes who had a medical issue yesterday and was hospitalized overnight with a bunch of tests taken but was sent home late today but came back to the track first to let us know he's ok.

Next thing is the Stock and S/S qualifying yesterday and this morning - this reporter is not pleased with the 'new' NHRA horsepower rule this year - it brought back 1000' runs - adding plenty of extra weight - and detuning - certainly not much fun to watch and against having good Stock and S/S runs for sure .Want it stopped - let your Rep (Marty Rinehart) know about how you feel - give 'em a call - send a email or whatever but do something .With very decent air here and 118 Stock entries there were only 2-count 'em two one second under qualifying runs .Kinda tells the story.

As for rd 1 of Stock today there were plenty of redlights - some spinning of high HP cars but also some very close racing but it shows Stock
and S/S are alive and well in D1.

Good morning all, the weather for today... perfect. You could not ask for a better D1 race at Maple Grove. Sunny skies with the the temps in the mid 70's again today. The Juniors will be out first followed by Super Street, Stock will be third out. All categories are in the second round, Alcohol ran their eliminations yesterday, so we should have a smooth day and finish on time.

This may be my last post until I get home. I am still in, but plan to hit the road as soon as I am eliminated. Top end shots from round one in Stock...
