Ford 352 push rod motor??

I tried some research on past posts about this combo but all the links are dead. Is it available as an assembled crate engine? If not is there a parts list available? Seems like an economical way to get back in class racing with a reliable low maintenance piece. I would be looking to put it in an older car for FGT\? In Super stock. Either a 67 Fairlane or a 73 Mustang Anyone have any thoughts or who is the go to? I know Dick Lux ran this in his Comet (rip) looks like the Halls put one in their 68 mustang.
Thanks for any help.

Division 6 S/S 6035 Jerry Pruitt has had great success with this combination..You might want to message him on this forum

I am currently having one built by Chris Holbrook. 1967 Mustang and will fit in FGT/H,I J. The parts list is on the Class racer link. Boss 302 block, Z304d heads, EFI intake and 4 hole throttle body. It is 347 stroker with bigger bore.

Two very different combos, Jerry Pruitt is running a '64 352 FE type motor, Lux was running a Windsor type Factory GT combo. Not to say that they aren't both good combos in their own ways but two very different deals. Regarding the 352 Windsor motor combo, it is not a crate motor and I think you will find that getting the head castings might be a problem.

I spoke to Rusty Hall in Baytown, they have the motor out of Dick Lux’s car in theirs.

The Cobra Jet 352 is a good combination. RJ and i built a car from scratch and i am in the process of building a 95 Mustang Super stock with the 352 CJ. The GT weight breaks have changed so the car can move around to many more classes. Nick Morris, Neal Rhodes and John Stock i believe are running this engine.

It's a decent combination but hard to overcome the 360 Drag Pak and the 130# weight difference.

[QUOTE=Robin Lawrence;678741]I think that is what Larry Deforest is running.

Robin, you are correct, Scott Burton also has a 428 powered stocker, and Gary Richard has a 428 stocker, and a 428 powered super stocker.

There are also a 363 , and a 427 windsor combinations.

Isn't there also a 429" Windsor with a small bore and big stroke to take advantage of the allowable overbore which the big bore ones can't do?

Bob Alexander from Clinton Illinois is building one as well. While not really a "Windsor" in my opinion since it has canted valve heads similar to the Cleveland engine family.

I worked with Gary Summers on his Super Stocker with that engine.

Are these engines available complete or do they have to be made up from parts? I can't find any listing for the 352, 428 or 429, just 347's, 427 and 460" ones.

Our engines were made up from parts. Purchased cylinder heads and throttle body from Ford.

I was hoping this was the case Tom but it appears one would need to collect the proper pieces and build their own.

Yes, they are called paper engines and they require specific parts.

This is the link to the parts list:

The throttle body is available thru Accufab, and there is a Edelbrock Super Victor EFI intake manifold that is a legal replacement for the Ford Racing intake manifold.

Yes, the Edelbrock Super Victor EFI intake for the 8.2W and 9.5W is the legal replacement.

By the way, Jerry, do you remember when I proposed to NHRA the Edelbrock intakes as a replacement and was rejected and 7 months later it was accepted when someone else proposed the same intakes? :D

Kevin Cour (RIP), also ran a Windsor engine on his Cobra Jet.
I believe that Jim Caughlin did the headers for the car also.
