Live from baby gators and national .90 style
Well, I’m usually nowhere near this part of the country this time of year. I drive a fuel oil truck in the winter, but with the winter being so warm in Delaware I was able to get the two weeks off. I so pulled in today around lunchtime. Got parked, having lunch, will take some pictures and report back later.

Good morning everyone sorry I didn’t respond back yesterday. I was busy riding around setting things up, visiting friends, you know the usual. Reagan, I was hoping to see you here. I watched your truck run at no problem. That is an impressive piece. Thanks Craig and you’re correct I was kind of hoping robbie would be down here helping you guys anyway, my trip down was pretty much uneventful except for the miners I came across in the sinkholes on 95 of South Carolina. Honestly it’s that bad! I did get to stop at buc-ees thanks to a friend of mine, Ed Pauley and his wife’s recommendation i ended up leaving there with a bag of beaver nuggets. A must have for anyone traveling, and I squeezed into the pumps to get diesel for 3.59! . I’m Glad I only got one bag of beaver nuggets I think they use cocaine in the mix. Will try to post back today. I’m doing the test in tune, but have little Internet access. For some reason it’s real weak here.

Re: Live from baby gators and national .90 style
Thanks Keith. The truck was working better than the driver.

Re: Live from baby gators and national .90 style
Hi guys, had a little problem this morning. Went to make the first time run in the test and tune with a fresh engine. I broke a rocker arm. The adjuster nut took out the adjuster stud and now they’re swimming in the oil pan
anyhow working half the day. I made something work at of bits and pieces, got back on the track and had two very good runs. I did get some pictures of super street. I will try to get some of the other classes tomorrow. |

For those that didn’t know I wrecked my car late last year. Here is the new nose and look of the car for the season. Unfortunately, my grays didn’t match but oh well I’ve been busy working on the other car, you know priorities…

Re: Live from baby gators and national .90 style
Oh, and in case you have not heard Lucas oil has pulled their Contingency sponsorship. They are still with Nhra, but are no longing paying for oil or trans fluid as in the last few years.
Come on Nhra we need more Contingency sponsors, not less. |

Re: Live from baby gators and national .90 style
Pudding Wrestler? I always knew something was a little off.....I guess Shaggy is your Don King??
|
Re: Live from baby gators and national .90 style
Come oooooonnnnn. Pudding wrestling is fun only problem is all the women beat me. No wait that’s not really a problem.
Anyway pretty thick out there this morning, they were giving away a Twinkie for the first perfect light. I was pretty far in the back of the pack so I took .005 out from the 003 yesterday, came up 002 red, Alex Miller in the lane next to me came up perfect. We watched each other the whole way down the track. 10.91 to my 10.92 .004 stripe Glad that wasn’t first round. |
Re: Live from baby gators and national .90 style
I wonder if Lucas Oil did this to maybe get more involved in Nascar?

Here is something else I just discovered about Contingency so now they no longer have toolboxes full of decals for the racers. They have a place at the trailer were you scan and it will send you to a link to Nhra to request decals at a flat rate of $30 per shipment.
More enhancements?????? |
Re: Live from baby gators and national .90 style
So now you have to pay NHRA for contingency decals? Unbelievable, Keith we are still your redneck fan club here in Texas! May we make the recommendation that you listen to sweet child o mine from axel rose while going down the track:D

Re: Live from baby gators and national .90 style
I just watched your run and the car was waving at the fans on the big end.😲
|
Re: Live from baby gators and national .90 style
That was a tough loss.
|
Re: Live from baby gators and national .90 style
Scary too. Looks like the wind got him?
|
Re: Live from baby gators and national .90 style
I watched a lot of wiggling. The track looked dry on camera. It sucks to have to lift.

I did make it past the 8th mile under power, the run completion says I was on a 90 with a 4 but I’m guessing 10.89. Would have been a good race. |
Re: Live from baby gators and national .90 style
Not the wind i could feel the car spinning after 1/8 mile. If we would have still been on schedule and ran behind top sportsman, I believe we would have been fine.
Congratulations to all the winners that was a tough round for everyone Sorry to see a super gas car end up on its lid , watching his Run I believe he should have lifted much earlier but it’s really hard to give up an elimination round. |

Well, they just ran second round of super street. The conditions are really thick, but a nice tail win this morning. Sent many under
lotta good racing out there today. Will try to keep up with the other.90 classes. I think we will have on and off sprinkles for the next few hours. Just one pic as they were pairing, Ed Pauley’s sweet Camaro and a clean nova. A friend from up north Frank Cimba stopped by and lent a hand, thanks and good to see you again! |
Re: Live from baby gators and national .90 style
Woke up to a beautiful morning, the dew set in last night and that canceled activities lots of issues getting down the track. I sure hope this is not a prelude to what we are going to see all season. Fingers crossed.
they are starting out with juniors and then I’m not sure but they left off after super stock so my guess would be super gas then follow the schedule. Lots to do today. Good luck to everyone still in. |

Thanks so much for the reports Keith, I have few shots from testing on Wednesday. I will be sure to get the winners for all the .90 classes. Let me know what size T Shirt you are, I have a new design for this year... and where are you parked.
Oh and the track for me was no better. About half the Stockers made it down before the rain delay. I ran after the delay, the starting line was ok for me, but I could feel the car get loose about the 200ft mark, click into second and it was like I was on ice. |
