Did the new rules effect anyone

What’s the feed back? Looks like several people at the div 4 race at no problem went well over a second under more than once. Does that trigger a review at the end of the year? Did anybody race any differently than they used to?

Looks like a certain 305 transplant didn’t get the memo, I assume HP is on the agenda for us now…..

The way I understand it. Is two runs more than one second under during the entire season triggers a review at the end of the year. The review will consist of averaging all runs for the year that are .650 under or faster. After they average all those runs. If the average is .850 under the index hp will be added. Is this not how it works?

Until you actually start adding in your runs for average. Those less than .65 under runs not counting will surely hurt. . Still early to see what happens when mineshaft conditions come into play.
On the other change. Pat Cvengros was leading the staging lanes with a note pad. A couple folks were asked to remove different things here and there.

Yes. The 2) 1.00 runs trigger the .85 under average. But the amount of HP added is not off of the average, it goes off of the fastest run made of the combination. So the hp will be significantly higher from the fastest run, than the average of the runs.

Yes, it’s confusing to most and most really don’t understand how it really works.

You mean like the 360 drag pak is on point to get 12hp at this rate and the 396/375 might absorb 10hp more. Ouch!

Will all class elems runs this weekend count? Will the ram air F body LS1 hp change and the flat hood stay the same? Tom

Thanks for clarification I thought it was where average ended up. Big difference!

Maybe I missed something, but what runs over this weekend with this combination would trigger a review?

Yes, all class elimination runs count. Not just C1. Like in the past

Only runs that are faster than 1.0 second under the index will trigger a review.

10 combo's this weekend have been triggered

3 combo's will get a review as the owners of these 3 cars have all ready ran under by -1.000 2 times this weekend.

Hi Larry I mostly stay in my car in the lanes. One driver had made a blinder and had it flipped up. Was told to remove it completely. I was told Jody Lang had a photo on his windshield of his late Mom. Was told to remove it .I guess because it was on the left side of the windshield. Pat was looking at each car carefully. I had a noise in my car and my focus was in my small world all weekend.

Thank you for the clarification. Like others I thought the amount of HP was going to be based off the average of all runs. Not just the fastest run of the year.

Rob, the hp that would be applied in event of an average has always been based on fastest run. Last year, if a combination was reviewed and average was over -.85 then the fastest trigger resulted in the amount of hp applied -1.000–1.099 was 1.25% then -1.100-1.199 was 2.25%. This remains the same. The difference this year is if you have a trigger run of -1.200-1.249 you would get 3.25% hp and if you have a trigger of -1.250-1.299 you would receive 4.25%. So a 4.25% end of the year hit would be a very exteme hit. Keep in mind this could be the result of one run in -1500 feet or air. A combination rated at 400hp for example would receive 18hp at year end with one trigger of -1.250-1.299.

Ok thank you. Im in no danger to go 1.0 under. But I know there’s guys with my combination that can. So I’ve been watching this. In the event I can get back out there this year. Maybe my slow car will help with the average. Im hopping drag insights or nitro Joe starts tracking this. So it’s easier to keep track of where a combos average is as the year goes on.

Nothing like an over complicated system to lure new racers into the category. At a time when new blood is needed, let's make it more difficult. :(
