Stock Eliminator World Championship Chase

Santangello wins 1st round handily. Emmons (correct one?) and Hoven (Dang!) out. Need a statistician to tabulate the score!! D1!:)

Won’t be decided until Pomona.

Santangelo out 2nd round. Hope car is good for Pomona as appeared he had round won and car slowed

Emmons, Jerry, still in. Believe Jerry (Emmons) has to win 4th round to add points here and take the lead

Joe led Jerry by 8 points before this race. With Jerry going one more round than Joe he has the lead right?

Frank, no he doesn’t. I believe Jammin Jerry had to improve on a 61…... At Pomona Jammin Jerry must improve on a 40 …Next week will be VERY exciting . Good luck to Jerry and Joe …

And Joe can improve on a 73 point national. Yes Jerry wins 2nd round he will take the lead, but if Joe is there.....

Will be very exciting if Joe goes to Pomona, he's still not entered at this point but can still has time.

Thumbs up to all that were in this points chase!!

Live timing sucks and points can and should be updated by the round, the NHRA is a low level piece of crap compared to any other sanctioning body. The leadership team is grossly overpaid for producing an inferior product and that has nothing to do with the hard working racers.

Jerry needs to win second round next week to take over the lead. we are rooting for the emmons team!

It has been that way for years, has not gotten any better!

Joe is entered at Pomona (who really thought he wouldn’t?) so it will be great to watch how it unfolds. Just like the Rock betrayed Decker’s SS chances it looked like Joe’s ride spun at Vegas so hopefully the outcome will be determined by the drivers instead of track prep.

Dont forget that Todd Hoven is still alive as well. He can get to 635 and the current top spot is 633.

Its a 3 horse until its not....although I just looked and Hoven is not entered in Pomona as of right now.

Just an update, I’m out of the hunt now. I pulled out of Pomona today and the car is on its way back east.
I need to get back to work and my responsibilities at home are also piling up. My chance was the division race to make a big move ahead and it didn’t work out. I’m happy to have made it this far and to have been relevant to the end. I wish Jerry and Joe the best this point forward. May the best racer win, both are are very worthy and deserving to be champion at the end of this.

Todd you had one heck of a run at it there congratulations on a very nice season. I hate you're not going to Pomona but I can understand how grown up stuff can get it the way it really sucks. See you next year.

Would have been great to see you, Mopar and D1 take it! Will be rooting for Joe, Anthony and D1! (And thanks to Bo for stepping up.)

And let us not forget (whether I like it or not) that he did it in a "real man's" car. Ya don't just go out and bracket race a race hemi. It's gotta be maintained.

Todd is among the hardest working racers out there. He deserves all the opportunities and successes he receives / achieves.
He's doing pretty good in the MOPAR being a Pontiac guy! LOL!

Good Luck to Joe representin Div 1!

Stock and Super Stock both closed 10 below the quota, when’s the last time that happened in a “normal” World Finals? I’m ready for some real normal. Pulling for Joe, he’s had a heck of a year and hate to see him lose the lead in both classes. Hope he avoids the other nasty AA cars…

I heard Joes ride bogged, not spun. Track prep wasn't an issue. Driver style over EFI tuneup was.

Thanks, just noted the 60 was off and car didn’t get much lift. Impossible to hear the engine tone in the telecast. In any case, assumption on my part which is seldom a good thing. To compare Vegas with the Rock probably equally off base as well as possibly implying that Bo’s car wasn’t properly prepared. More I think about it making an observation 2500 miles from the event is plum stupid.

Santangelo isn't driving the same car at Pomona. He's listed in B/SA in a '69 Camaro also from Butners stable.

Good afternoon to all,
Amen to that my friend!
Todd you have everything to be proud of and absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
We all know how hard you work, and we also all understand the responsibility's that go along with that race program.
You have done a hell of a job there.

Respectfully,
Henry Kunz 1534 H/SA

I admire what he is doing. Takes a lot of money to get championships. I followed both Brian and Ryan when they got theirs so I know what's involved.

The rumor I heard was that Joe was driving Mark Yacavone's old O/SA '59 Impala Convertible that Joe's dad were partners with. Bad to the bone 283!

Now that's a Real Man's Racecar!

Bo doesn’t have a 69 Camaro stocker in his stable, …..BUT the Defranks do ….Every race Joe jr. enters in stock is listed as a 69 Camaro ….

My error. It's listed as a B/SA 69 Chevrolet 396.

I don't know, Frankie. At 99 mph it was starting to rise up a bit. With today's "Stocker" engines, it might hit lift off speed.
BTW that was a Lee Crupi engine... RIP

Re: Stock Eliminator World Championship Chase

If Joe does in fact drive Jimmy's Camaro, that is one bad race car and we all know the Emmons family will have Jerry dialed in. Man, this weekend is going to be way cool.

One more thing, Todd Hoven has my utmost respect for making the call he felt he needed to make and my admiration for the phenomenal season he had driving the outstanding Al Carp Hemi. What a car and driver! Your day will come.
