Nhra national technical director

Who is the Nhra national technical director? I emailed Lonnie Grim because I was told he was the man. He emailed me back and said he will call me. Haven't gotten a call from him. So I called Nhra in california and asked to speak to Lonnie Grim. They didn't know who he was. I said isn't he the national technical director. They said no he isn't and they didn't have anyone by that name that works there! So anybody know what's going on at Nhra??????

Lonnie was present and conducting business as usual in Bristol this past weekend.

Re: Nhra national technical director

Glenn, that just shows that the NHRA doesn't even know who their own employees are!

Is anyone here really surprised by this?

Lonnie lives in Arkansas. I am sure he is based there. Not surprised that the person on the phone from NHRA has not heard of him. Said person probably thinks that Danny Garcia is still the National tech director.

Re: Nhra national technical director

Danny does still work in division 7 but he isn't calling the shots. Just a nice guy working for NHRA still.

I wish Danny still was calling the shots!

He was tough and annoyed the C*ap out of me pretty regularly
But = I believed he always tried to be Fair and was Accessible!

Lonnie called my shop this morning. A pleasure to talk to and will look into what I'm concerned about. Thank you Lonnie.

Glen,
Were you beginning to feel like Rodney Dangerfield?
Anyone that deals with Lonnie will find he is a great guy.
Always fair and by the book.
Lonnie was "The Fearless Leader" (Boss) RJ Sledge and I had for a few years at Engine Masters Challenge..He took over after Wesley.
We had some great times & had a good program.
I personally feel NHRA racers are in good hands with him as.. what did you say he was??

I believe Bob Blackwell is the national tech director per ND, but Pat Cvengros could be as well....
