“Live “ from St Louis 2021
Actually I am not “Live”! since we are still in Charlotte!
But in looking at the schedule, it shows stacking not until 7 am on Thursday, then parking at 8! So does anyone know anything about this? I left a message with the D3 office last week and have yet to get a return call! |
Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021
Stacking is still one hour before parking begins on Thursday. That could be a real cluster, but parking this year has gone surprisingly well so we’re keeping our fingers crossed. Hope to see you there.

Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021
We got here about 9 this morning and the cluster had about cleared up by then. We were in line for 45 minutes or so and then got parked! Everything went smoothly! The spaces are somewhat rearranged. The grass area is pretty soft. The spot where we are is pretty unlevel so we had to do some maneuvering.
Just got a text that Q1 is moved up to 9 in the morning! There is a steady flow of rigs pulling in and getting parked right away!! |
Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021
Now weather. 53*, 84%, 30.11

Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021

Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021
Saw the schedule today saw alot of classes that Ive never seen at a National.
|
Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021
I'm bummed I missed out on this one. Pro ET? Pro Xtreme? Them's some jaw droppers right there.
|
Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021
Most of the racers have expressed their displeasure with only getting 2 qualifiers or time trials, depending on class, at the national events nowadays. So NHRA decides, instead of giving us another run, to stack in these classes, for whatever reason that prompted that decision!?!?
Truly sad they way were are treated! Slaps in the faces to all of us who chase this! |

This has to be the quickest D/SA 1/8 MILE in the history of all drag racing. Prove me wrong. D/SA=10.04 ET AT ABOUT 700FT DA |

How was qualifying yesterday Larry ?

Cant prove you wrong but betting Jerry Hatch was quicker when he went 9.99 @ Mariachi national open a few years back. |

Great run for Logan Wernet in his 62' 383 two four barrel ride in the heads up second round run.. Rear wheel sixty foot time and appears he clicked it just a bit before the 1/4 mile line. 10.569.

Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021
Logan certainly has a great running car. He was prepared to run 10.54 during that pass.
Mr. Bennett had the car set up for a 10.33 during his match. Both Dusters perform incredibly well however, a certain Camaro remains the car to beat in D/SA. |

Initially I used a tabulated board without 1/8 mile per hour. Looks like a 10.17 in D/SA. NOW THAT I USED WALLACE SITE WITH 1/8 MILE MPH. http://www.wallaceracing.com/8th-quarter.php |
Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021
The 9.99 run in D/SA was with the LD340 intake and some crazy good air. That intake is no longer available in the rule book. Jerry was a 10.23-10.25 pass I believe. We don't see these good conditions out west here. We use to when Sonoma was run earlier in the year.

If we could run the Sacramento National Open anytime between November thru March you might see -400 DA on a cold sunny day. |
Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021
Well folks Patsy went home due to allergies with a bad sinus headache, so your stuck with this club fingered reporter.
We moved from the round track to the paved pit area in a very smooth and orderly fashion. I don’t know too much about Ms Sally from D7 but she is what we needed, fair, firm, and friendly. |
Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021
Sally is great to work with. She knows everyone out here.

Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021
Its T and T day 1 to 9 today rumor has it. Just repeating what I heard. I think you can pay at the gate. That's where I had to go to pay my extra $80 and use my snowed out open credit.
Everyone was entering the track from the back way, getting wristbands, then getting parked. Still a very smooth operation. This track is very clean with plenty of trash cans that are well placed and everyone is doing their part to keep it clean. A future suggestion: if rigs were parked facing north everybody would have evening shade. it was hot yesterday and today will be almost as bad. Generator pipes are everywhere you look, everyone is trying to be a good neighbor. |
Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021
Larry,
Where are you this week? |

Re: “Live “ from St Louis 2021
Unlike a lot of T and T this track was ready for whatever wanted to make a pass. From the water box lady to the starter and everyone in between all were working to make sure test and tune was a real value for the money’s spent.
I wonder if the track would be interested in having a S S/S combo race or two next season. Just thinking out loud maybe have a showdown race between the points leaders of the Mid West, Great Lakes, Bowling Green, and NSS. Just a thought! |
