Simple enough for a sign fabricator who will have the aluminum too. Check with Frank Ferrucci..

Steve Broadbent has patterns for most of the commonly raced cars. If he doesn’t answer leave a message.

I made a template out of cardboard and cut my own.

I made my own as well. Not that difficult.

Lucas Oil Slick Mist is what I use. Spray it on before your first pass. DO NOT wipe it off or buff it. Just spray it on and leave it, let it air dry. At the end of the day, rubber literally wipes right off. Best stuff I've used yet.

Does it keep the paint from being chipped?

Made mine from some clear brush finish aluminum had around as drops. Many bought them from Ed Quay in PA

Got mine from Steve also, works great and looks good. Just told him it was a 3rd gen and they were shipped to me within a few days.

Yes Yac, it actually works just as good taking the rubber off after the burnout. I'm really not sure what causes the chips in the paint ? Jim

Jim, The reason I asked is because the o/p asked who made the burn out guards or shields that keep the rubber from getting on the quarters..not how do you get it off afterwards.
Seems to me that cars without them, get the back flanged edge of the wheel opening beat up , if nothing else. Guys that have raced at Tucson won't wonder where the chips come from ;-)

Mother’s makes a spray product specifically made for removing rubber. It’s called R-3.
