I appreciate the effort, although watching Stk/SS without Compulink data is akin to watching Centipede grass grow.

Having the data visible is essential for my enjoyment of the broadcast.

Wow! Yes, it certainly is nothing like the broadcasts from Warren and his crew.

But guys, this is what we have now. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt - this is their first day and you know they're not happy with what we've seen today.

Warren's service, MotorMania and all the rest are virtually flawless. As soon as NHRA touches it it turns to shi*! NHRA.TV the same. C'mon man!!

Sounds like they are trying, “back in the day” we wouldn’t know anything about divisionals till DRC posted early the next morning. I’m inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I think it's a start. I sort of liked the red and blue (DOS screen) from the old D3 that gave the car and engine combo info. The white on black info block is easier to read. I hope they can add the extra info without making the font smaller.

I wish they could get the block of info with all the times posted before the next pair of cars come up. I liked the older screen and watched the incremental times come up in order. There was pairings that by the time the info popped up, they cut away to the next pair on the starting line.

I also had to wait a whole day to see the qualifying list on Drag Race Central. It would be nice if they could post the qualifying lists during a down time. Hopefully NHRA takes this as constructive criticism. Overall, it's worth every penny I paid for the sportsman coverage IMO.

One thing I noticed was that when they went to, 60ft camera and top end
camera they broke up, I’m pretty sure it only as good as the WiFi is.
I guessing NHRA didn’t bring in it’s own satellite truck...
I’m thinking Mark has it own private satellite set up..

Does anyone know how I can watch Friday or Saturday at Orlando on nhra.tv? Can't seem to find anything but live coverage for 2021, and Sunday hasn't started yet. Thought they said we would be able to watch prior days events on there.

when I click on it states only available to subscribers and asks to pay for the service. I thought they announced it was going to be free to watch later on the PA system.

They are making an effort and will improve as the year progresses. While I always enjoyed Warren and Unk doing their shows I think this effort is at least a bonafide NHRA attempt at promoting interest in sportsman racing. Personally I’m amazed that Joe Castello’s voice can hold out, it’s obvious he loves racing like we all do. We’ll probably have Brian and Alan announcing some as well during the year and you can’t beat free. Glass half full thinking that some of Warren’s sponsors will also be able to help him broadcast other events and/or kick in some top qualifier $ like the Volkmans (SDS, great business BTW) in D2. Liked Nowicki already picking up some qualifying cash, apparently Marshall is a little more careful than Marion about getting an early check, LOL.

i have the app on roku, only saw upcoming races, so on the app i did a search for orlando, then the following days came up...better to work on the race stuff during the day in the shop and watch the racing at night.

Come on guys. It wasn’t that bad, Saturday was better than Friday. From what I can tell they got Dave Mohn down there with D1TV, we’ve got new wireless cams that made their debut this weekend. WiFi definitely affects the broadcast and every track presents its own challenges. In a conversation I had with Warren it took him years to get to what we see today. And besides, I wasn’t there running it. Lol. Give NHRA credit for trying to cover all LODRS events this year.

I agree, and I'm grateful they're trying. And since I'm sure they are hoping this will lead to more paid subscriptions I am (somewhat) hopeful they will continue to work on improving the quality. I didn't check back Saturday to see what it was like then, but I will check out the next event. I subscribed for several years and the coverage generally did improve during the year. But each new season the progress was undone, and it again took a while for it to improve. At some point there will hopefully be some consistency.
