Where are the PROs ....

Only 4 PROS entered for the Gators ...Could this be retaliation for NHRA cutting the purse last year ? I realize we are weeks away but this seems very strange ....

I agree; and only 1 entry in Pro Mod, 4 in TAD, and 2 in TAFC.

Unlike Class Racers, they're not the least bit worried about their quota numbers.

Re: Where are the PROs ....

No reason for them to register before the Monday preceding the event, if Gainesville isn't allowed a large number of spectators it may get postponed anyway. For the Super Bowl this weekend in Tampa they're only allowing 5,000 and doubt it will happen if limited to that number. Just the harsh reality...but good news the Divisional races in D2 are still a go.

I have read anywhere between 13,000 and 22,000 fans will be allowed at the Super Bowl. Included in that number is 7500 vaccinated health care workers. I believe the Gators will happen as it is definitely a governor FRIENDLY state. After the Gators, all bets are off as RUMORS are already circulating regarding a NHRA National event shutdown .... the key word is RUMORS ....

Re: Where are the PROs ....

Why would any pros enter until they know what there racing for$$$$
On Facebook I only see some bottom feeder pro stock teams posting that they are racing
What are the big fuel team’s doing? Nhra as usual No comment.
Hell of away to run a for sure NON PROFIT business
Where’s the $$$! For national events.
2021 the death march continues ... into oblivion. No clue

Re: Where are the PROs ....

just amazed how much everyone hates on nhra. i am just happy for a place to compete or watch. if you do not like the rules/way events are run, go play somewhere else. NMCA or other races. 2035 GM all electric. nascar will loose a manufacturer.

They just opened registration for us after last weeks conference call. The payout structure is actually very fair considering NHRA is going to deal with limited capacity once again this year.

I believe you'll start seeing more teams enter as we get closer. However I don't expect a large turnout in either nitro category.

DSR should have 2 FC & 2 TF at the Gators.

Maybe NHRA could put cardboard cutouts in the stands. Of course with mask.

Last week on the news a doctor talking about vaccinations said it protects you, not others. That you could very well still be a spreader like "Typhoid Mary" after getting the shots. Will that change how the states relax crowd quotas?

Re: Where are the PROs ....

They have priced themselves out of the sport. They can say goodbye to the Chevrolet prostock class and put some cash into the Samtech Factory stock class which is way more fun to watch. Drop any Monday testing. Let the Pros ( there's a name) earn grade points with test runs at divisional races near themselves. Maybe squeeze their runs in about 7 A.M. since Monday testing doesn't have fans either. Let the 25 crew members buy pit passes and sit at the end of the track. Sounds fair!
