Gen 6 BBC Oil pan??

Looking for an oil pan for a Gen 6 BBC to fit in a 68 Chevelle chassis. I don't want a race pan but a stock appearing pan. The only one I can find is from the general and its been discontinued. Any ideas ??
Thanks in advance.

Did you speak with Jake? He might be able to help you. You could purchase an inexpensive 5-6 quart and have him do it up.?
Might add, be careful going with a truck pan (extended sump) it runs into the steering link. That takes longer idler and pitman arms 5.90”. Rare Parts inc.

Barry
I have looked and no cheap or stock pans for the Gen 5/6 that will fit in the Chevelle chassis. I am thinking of taking the truck pan and modifying to fit and put my own recipe in the pan at that time. This is for my Dads car and it will never be raced.

Re: Gen 6 BBC Oil pan??

I got tired of the Gen 6 pan options and decided to go with a pan with some nice features for the $$ and made in USA. No pans available for the Gen 6. This is not a stocker however i really wanted a stock looking pan but nothing out there so decided on this pan. Thanks to my classracer friends for the input.

Re: Gen 6 BBC Oil pan?? UPDATE

I purchased the Jegs pan and it is very nice for the $$$. Not stock appearing but full of great features. I left the mounts off and engine went straight back and down, Frame clearance is ok however the steering linkgage touched so I clocked the idler arm and that fixed that. The steering will just touch on full turn lock. Hope this helps other down the road.

Re: Gen 6 BBC Oil pan??

Just an update. The jegs race type pan is not the best for this application. I have tried eurothane mounts, shimming the mounts and loosening steering(idler arm) and moving it slightly. The steering (inner tie rod) hits the pan on tight maneuvers. This is not a race car and Dad is not a fan. Some have said use solid mounts and shim them.Dad says he doesn't want it to shake like an old wagon. So back to searching for GM oil pan # 12495360. This is the only stock pan i can find for this application. Thanks to everyone for the input.

That is the pan I have been trying to get my hands on. It is long been discontinued and no stock anywhere. Thanks for the input.
