That is real sad. Such a nice facility sitting there going to waste. That is what happens when the owners heads are going in circles.

That will hurt. 66 was spaced far enough away from Byron,Grove and 41. Plenty of midwest cars to race at anyone track.

Unless they know something we don't about Covid in 2021 it looks like NASCAR has abandoned the Chicago market. Since NASCAR now also owns the dragstrip, NHRA is out as well.

This may be more about NASCAR than anything else. It was announced yesterday that Kentucky speedway lost their Race for 2021. Lots of changes going forward.

Byron never happen---too small/noise curfew and any other reasons that come to mind

Edgewater near Cincinnati has been completely renovated and could easily accomodate a LODRS race, they had them there for over 40 years in the past.

Yes, the points meet use to be there, and it was packed. Now the rigs are bigger, and pit space would be a premium. Maybe if they. Limited entries, then it would work. But that place was packed, and they had us pitted on the tower side of the track down towards the end. Less than 20 years ago.

I did see a post from the RT 66 dirt track yesterday saying they will host events next year. Hopefully the dragstrip will at least bracket race.

According to an email that I received,NO DRAG RACING EVENTS.



With the recent news that Chicagoland Speedway will not be hosting racing events in 2021, the corresponding impact on the shared resources between Chicagoland and Route 66 Raceway and the future uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Route 66 Raceway will unfortunately not be hosting drag racing events in 2021.
