Cobra Jets Factory Stock Missing at US nationals

What is going on with no cobra jets at Indy in Factory stock with no Cobra jets? I see only 1 2019 listed for Skinner

guess they should have not run 7.50s at NMCA race last . Roger Penske once said, We do not have to crush them, just be a little faster

For a few years now there have been people who have wanted to replace Pro Stock with them. Looks like NHRA is doing the same thing to the FORD's now that they did to them in the early years of Pro Stock.

Wait, I think that was the Dodge/Plymouth Hemi's, or both!

Had nothing to do with NMCA The Ford change was issued July 29th after the July 18-19 Indy National event, the FSS final between Bill Skillman, and Chris Holbrook was rained out @ that event , and was going to be run @ US Nationals

Probably not a good look for NHRA when you hit the Ford so hard that those who's name is on one of the tracks lanes... doesn't show up to finish the finals from a prior National event; nor show up at the prestigious US Nationals which is located close to their home town.

I can understand factoring them some based on their performance at the prior event; but the NHRA official working the numbers was a bit excessive to my way of thinking.

Re: Cobra Jets Factory Stock Missing at US nationals

The simple answer is that Mr. Holbrook, the Skillman's, along with other CJ owners have been busy spending endless amounts of time/money doing testing, R&D and Dyno time to stay on top/get faster, while everyone else...especially the Dodge's(DSR), sit back, sandbag and complain to NHRA until they get the parity rules in order to gain competitiveness by default. I doubt anything will come of this statement made by CJ owners; however I think the message was heard loud and clear by all of us!
