Patsy and Larry, when I woke up this morning I immediately looked forward to seeing the start of your "Live" from the US Natl's thread. Safe travels to all venturing to the greatest race of the year ! Forced to watch from home this year, (border closed), will be tuned in on NHRA.tv for every Stock / Super Stock run they broadcast. Thanks in advance to all who update and post pics.

What a zoo and a cluster. We are on the road outside the main gate. We arrived 1.00pm local time. Mike McMahan is directing traffic. How could NHRA not be prepared?

Without Redman 2 years in a row they don't know what they are doing.

Well last years parking was Biblical, not sure if I can describe it any better than that!

Last year we had real class racing unlike this year,

Without that its not Indy for me. Beagles miss that Indiana grass, circle track and the fries,

Social event of the year meeting all the racers from throughout the land,

Good luck to all going

I'm sure it will be a memorable event

Sometimes a hurricane pulls people apart, but it only gives Cajuns a place to start. Move thru the debris and cut the trees, send a car to Indy with Frito in the breeze. When the trailer opens up for all to see, mouths will drop open on what is about to be. It will be the talk of the town, when the Cajun Cuda pulls up for the first round. They will be missing the goofy one but still having fun. The Cudas are red the Cudas are blue,.One only wonders, who is the shoe??? The goofy one is busy cleaning up his place. But he still made sure he is part of the race.

He used to be a wheel man. Had a few class wins. The Plymouth is still being raced now by Darcey Clark. The Dodge is MIA

Busy with other stuff but who has the Phish car? How did you get it out the driveway? Do they know how to operate a prostock car?

Any "line numbers" for Hemi ??? Shootout?? Eric Bell qualifies in top 3.

The parking staff worked until after the sun went down. Thank you. In my opinion more assets, people, would have made parking more palatable.
It is what it is. I hope NHRA will be like us racers with our cars, always looking at ways to improve and make it faster.

Parking was hardly the parting of the Red Sea. Imagine Moses and Redman on the job.

Unfortunately, that is a mere pleasant memory of times gone by.

The new model, likely a future Harvard Business School Case Study is determining just how inelastic the classracers demand for racing truly is.....Keep cutting until the demand goes down. Tech, car counts, haven't seemed to affect demand, BUT applying the same method to parking, thats where things get dicey and risky.

Case in point, of perhaps cutting too much, would be Dyer, he wins class every year with his Cobra Jet, wins that trophy and checks that make the week free for him, good business for him, he now stays home.

How many wives and girlfriends that were in the line to park last year put their foot down and said, never again?

Loved ones for the most part come to support their addicted family members, and don't care about tech, quotas, etc. but they do wonder where the staff is while waiting to get pitted, and clearly notice that on race day, somehow staff is on hand to park the fans......

Heard in the pits last year: " I've passed kidney stones that were more pleasant than getting parked"

Ouch

Eric

In spite of the issues there are 891 entries there. Should be a great weekend.

If people could have enough courtesy to stay in line we would be parked a lot quicker.
Not naming names but AH guys don't think they need to wait like the rest of us.

I did notice a Cdn entered in one of the ".90" classes and wondered how they got around the restrictions ?

Bet he is not there, # 3 in world free entry, and he should keep that # for next year, should be no points this year at all, not all points races run and the borders closed, not fair to the northern half.

Can't a Cdn come in on a commercial flight? Then drive
a drive a friend's loaner race car.
