Holbrook.... 7.64@182
Hey guys, I'm here at NMCA Allstar Nationals in Martin, MI. Chris Holbrook just went a 7.64@182 in the Super Car Showdown. It is an impressive run in itself, but it was 4100 feet with a Bar of 28.88 and water grains were 120 when he made the run.

Re: Holbrook.... 7.64@182
This was the funnest class to watch in NHRA....WAS. Good thing. NCMA is around to keep this class going.

Re: Holbrook.... 7.64@182
I understand these guys had to make a bunch a changes but it still suprises me that the ford group were complaining about the new rules for parity. There has not been much drop off since the nhra rule changes were made. Anyone know how competitive it is between brands at NMCA? I haven't paid much attention to the races as I have in the past.

Re: Holbrook.... 7.64@182

Re: Holbrook.... 7.64@182
Did you factor in added road load from the Big tire?

Re: Holbrook.... 7.64@182
I'm guessing their cars are 60fting at 1.teens, so I doubt a 2 tenths improvement in a big tire.

Re: Holbrook.... 7.64@182
It would be nice if someone could post a time slip.
Just a guess of what happened. 60 Foot ET = 1.2263 330 Foot ET = 3.2222 1/8 Mile ET = 4.8948 1/8 Mile MPH = 147.2026 1000 Foot ET = 6.3385 1/4 Mile ET = 7.5645 1/4 Mile MPH = 184.0163 Stan |

Re: Holbrook.... 7.64@182
so what 2021 challenger dragpak is going to get the letter from NHRA that your car is only certified to go 7.50, no faster. just read the article about the car and says it has a 7.50 cert cage. also have to meet all of the other rules for 7.50, I think they are upgraded license, fire suppression, clothing SFI 3.2A15 and hans device. could be interesting loosing car could protest. and i have seen that done at a bigmoney bracket race

It is all about traction. I believe these car have run 60' times in the teens. This car does that (a low 1.17x) and it will run under 7.500. Stan |
