Sorry to say that my father passed last night in his sleep

Re: Ron Garey passed
We are very sorry to hear about your dad. Mr. Garey was an incredibly tough racer. Growing up watching him compete and eventually getting to race with him, we learned a lot about "racing hard." We have wondered about him over the years and always hoped he would make a return to the sport. God Speed RG!

Re: Ron Garey passed
Chuck, I’m so sorry for your loss. I loved hanging out with your dad, Tony Cowell, and Bill Robinson. He was such an interesting guy and a very good racer. I haven’t seen him in probably 15 years, but I was talking to a friend from Texas about him last week. They broke the mold when they made Ron Garvey.

Re: Ron Garey passed
So sorry to hear about your loss Chuck, Don and Jim. I spent a good part of my childhood with Ron and Pug at the garage and house. Also many Sunday mornings at Dennys. He was a great teacher. I remember a time at Texas Raceway your dad saw me slamming the brakes at the traps. When I got back to the pits he let me know that if I kept that up I could lock it up and end up on my top one day. From then on I dialed tight ran pedal to the metal and tried to win every race at the tree. The mold is broken.
