NHRA TV...warning...

IF you have a iPhone, iPad, you can watch it on those devices. But if you want to play it on Apple TV or Airplay it over to your Apple TV via your iPhone, iPad won't work..
You will need to buy like a Roku, type of device.

Re: NHRA TV...warning...

Don't disagree.

I could watch directly with an iPhone 6, however an old iPad would not fill out the screens enough to sign in. Disappointing because this is what I would drag out to the shop to watch while I worked.

They have said other features will be added down the road, we will have to see what those are.

Re: NHRA TV...warning...

We are talking about the NHRA_tv app, for iPhone and iPad.

So to make it easier, if you have Apple TV and hooked up to your TV, you can not watch the race via the Apple TV.
Now if you see it on your iPhone, or iPad via the app, you cannot feed it over to your TV.
Hope that helps.

Re: NHRA TV...warning...

Tom what app on your smart TV did you use? Did your TV come with NHRA TV loaded on it? Or does your TV have a rook built in it? just wondering. Thanks

The android app doesn't work, either. Put in your info, and it says "invalid email."
I've had a service ticket going back and forth since Saturday with someone named Alexey...he doesn't seem to understand English too well.

Re: NHRA TV...warning...

My problem is with their app for Android from the Google Play Store.
Here's the "answer" I got this morning:

Hello Paul,

Thank you for contacting NHRA.tv.

The app still under development process. Can you please give a try via mobile browser?

Alexey Pilyaev

I guess I'll wait and see. I wanted to use the app so I could "Cast" the race to my TV with Chromecast like I used to.
By the way, his reply is a lot funnier if you read it with a Russian accent, like those Wild and Crazy Guys from SNL!

Does the app have a Chromecast option? If not you can use the google home app to cast the screen to your Chromecast device. There are also other apps that will cast video like Web Video Caster.

Re: NHRA TV...warning...

Has anyone tried this using Chrome as the browser? Last year Firefox would not work for NHRA stuff and Chrome would. Same goes for YouTubeTV. Chrome only.

Re: NHRA TV...warning...

You can also connect your desktop to your TV with an HDMI cable. That's how I watch TV.

When I click to go to the NHRAtv page it loads but doesn't display video links & despite numerous times entering info it won't sign me in. On my iPhone 8 it works fine. Is there something that needs to be downloaded or a setting that needs to be changed on my laptop for it to work?

Have you tried multiple browsers?

I am using internet explorer. I only use explorer because some of the programs I need to use are only compatible with IE. Didn't think to try Edge which does work. Now we know

Toby, that's what I was hoping to do since their player on a web browser doesn't have a Cast option. But after downloading their app, it will not accept my credentials so I haven't been able to log in to even see whether or not there is a cast option. So...I had to connect my laptop with an HDMI like you suggested. I'll look into the other apps, thanks.

Apple does make a cable, for your iPhone and iPad , that has hdmi and power hookup. That might work?

It should, but the point of all this is that the organization contracted by NHRA to put it's product out for consumption on a large scale is lacking in the technical department.
