They announced on the Pomona coverage that Graham Light will retire.

i read that too on the NHRA website. I doubt by him leaving will actually change anything for the good of the sport.

Though on general principle this is a very good thing, absolutely nothing will improve. The first step in solving a problem is to realize you have one, and they have no idea. It quit being drag racing two decades ago.

I had the opportunity to ask him a simple question about 15yrs ago at Columbus. I'd seen in ND that NHRA had just hired someone with the same name as an old lost friend and I was trying to find out of it was the same guy. Mr Light was beyond rude. Told me he didn't have time for my petty questions, then told me to get out of HIS tower!
