Will there be a shuttle so all of us stock racers can see the Factory Showdown cars, they run following stock? All of sportsman will be pitted in the infield of the round track and it a real long way to the stands from there. And only one way to get to the stands.

I hope the field is expanded to 16, it looks like we have plenty of entry's.

Got to go Its "Showtime"

Jack McCormack does not, a company ironically called J Mac handles them the last time I checked.

See you at the races,

We are here and parked and ready to roll down the track at 8 in the morning! Of course we are all at the round track. I went for a ride with Michael Volkman this afternoon to show him how to get to staging! I don't think he was impressed!! We are parked on the grass way down at the end! I will try to get some pictures tomorrow !

How many people can they fit in the infield ?

Re: "Live" from St. Louis AAA Ins. Midwest Nat'l 2017

Im kind new at this, but the weather: 52.2 degrees, 90%, baro 29.75, AA 308'. It could be fast.

All the Showdown cars I spoke with are planing a pit stop at the edge of the round track stands to cool and re-ice inter coolers. On the plus side of being this far from the starting line, the oil will be hot for the XX cars. I did notice some showdown teams are in the pits with the "Pros", I wonder if a teams pit placement will affect performance and the outcome of the race.

More later, got to get ready for Q1.

The Hay in the pits is cut, raked, and ready to bailed.

Quite a few, the track is 1.25 miles around. Did they take out the far wall again for entry? The Hill's mention some of the Stock FX Shootout cars are parking with the Pros. We'll it will open a few more spots then.

Re: "Live" from St. Louis AAA Ins. Midwest Nat'l 2017

NHRA, in my opinion, is two for two on the racetrack not being prepared properly for first qualifying attempt,Charlotte was bad and so was St. Louis. Sixty foot was 1.387 for Charlotte and 1.380 at Gateway, Q2 at Charlotte was 1.331 in sixty, I hoping to see the same improvement (.05) on Q2 later today. I wonder if they forgot what they did at Indy, Indy was great.

Cross your fingers. Is value for the dollar spent with NHRA reduced to hoping that the track is good?

The good thing about a data recorder is they show you what happened.

Yes, but....all the tech were in the lanes prior to TT 1 looking at our cars especially the safety items...not sure there were enough bodies to go around...LOL.....

No sense mentioning the Dodge Challenger with top mile per hour (168) - driven by Leah.

Besides it was 2 hundredths behind Barton's chevy

Great race in second round of Superstock. How many times do you lose with a .008 light?

Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET-- Speed-----Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET-- Speed
3883 Rylee Stufflebeam 1227 Michael Volkman
E2 ****WINNER**** 0.000 10.068 128.84 0.008 10.284 130.29
SS/JA Dial: 10.06 (+/-): 0.008 GT/KA Dial: 10.28 (+/-): 0.004
Prior rounds:
E1 (J Lovallo ) 0.003 10.092 0.032 (K Lynch ) 0.047 10.260 0.020
Qualified: #23 10.115 -0.885 #37 10.178 -0.722
Stufflebeam gets a perfect light and runs the number to take the win with a .008 package. Volkman had a .012 package in the loss.
Rylee Stufflebeam's MOV: 0.0045 seconds (approximately 10 inches).

As far as the new "no tech" at national events go...all winners in ss & stock were gone over with a fine toothed comb last night. Very thorough inspection. Kudos to the tech guys.

On the FS1 replay you can see some fluid spraying out the right side onto the tire.

Brett C is spot on as usual. After rd 4 of stock all winners were carefully scrutinized by 4-5 tech officials. Under the hood, seats, rear trunk /cargo area were all checked rather thoroughly......

What wouldn't be fair is: What happens if they find something illegal in Rd. 4 ??
The guys they beat along the way kinda of gets screwed then.
It's good that their checking cars, but you wouldn't want to lose to that car in any of
the other 3 rounds & than they find him illegal, cause the losers won't get re-instated.

I don't think that anyone here thinks that this is "right". However, it dispels the thought process of no one being checked thoroughly at all at any national event.

What's to prevent a guy from teching in, then changing things before eliminations and not getting caught? People will cheat no matter what method is out there. Seems to me random tech inspections may keep the racers on their toes a little bit!
