That's a Great Accomplishment. |
Re: Congrats on # 100
Congratulations Dan. Nobody could possibly argue that 100 wins isn't a huge milestone, but what really hits me is the thousands and thousands of hours you've had to spend working on the cars, traveling to and from races, etc. to achieve it. You've truly dedicated your life to your accomplishment. I'll bet your Dad is smiling...

An excellent racer and a truly nice guy! Quite a roar from the crowd as he pulled up to the stands. (And some more paperwork:-)

Re: Congrats on # 100
You are a true inspiration for racers. Quit your job, went on a winning Western run, and never looked back. Door cars, dragsters, roadsters, wagons, fast cars, slow cars, vans. Taught your kids how to race and win, helped numerous other racers, worked your butt off, drove countless hours, tolerated claims of others, put up with delays and reschedules, and just kept winning. Congratulations Mr. Fletcher, you have earned it.

Larry & Patsy For us folks that will never live long enough to match this milestone in winning; how much closet space does it take to have 100 national event jackets hung in a row? |
Re: Congrats on # 100
Incredible, Fantastic, Remarkable. I could go on and on. What an accomplishment in such hard categories.

Re: Congrats on # 100
Congratulations on 100 wins. I went to the semi-finals in Stock at Columbus in ’94 or ’95 and a relatively non-descript Camaro from western NY won S/S at the same race. I thought, “good to see one of the little guys win one”. From there, you certainly went on a tear. Here is 100 dots:
https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q...=1499704241337 If each dot represents a national even win, just imagine the time and effort it take to make one of those dots. Now do it 100 times. Between the wins, the magazine articles, the advertisements, the numerous mentions of your name at every national event (even if you are not there) your name and your cars have got to be some of the most recognized in all of drag racing. That is saying something in the sea of cars and names that is NHRA Sportsman drag racing. |
Re: Congrats on # 100
Amazing attestation to longevity! Congrats!
|
Re: Congrats on # 100
Wow, great job, great accomplishment. Congratulations!
|
Re: Congrats on # 100
You have set a example of the meaning of Sportsman racing Hard work, setting goals and meeting them, self drive and endless hours of work just to get another win. Add 99 to that one and you are there. It's easy said but damm hard to get it done. Congrats my man. Any yes "Dan is the Man".

Re: Congrats on # 100
Congratulation Dan and now we have to deal with three more Fletcher and even more if we count Dan's wife. seriously Dan you deserve all the glory. CR
|
Re: Congrats on # 100
Cheater!!! Lol I couldn't resist. Dan you are the epitome of a master craftsman, you have dedicated your life to racing and have succeeded in every class you've ever raced. I had a chance a few years ago to observe you from a distance at Charlotte between rounds and thought if that's what it takes I will never win many National events! I'm too busy socializing and taking pictures for Ken!
Congratulations on 100 and I can't wait to see how many more you can get. By the way I know you were just as proud of your son winning Pittsburgh as you were of 100. |

Re: Congrats on # 100
Mr. Fletcher- I can remember a long time ago when the Checkmate was orange and you and your Dad under it changing transmissions (or clutch-4 speed) at Moroso 5-day events late into the night. All to race the next day(s). We all worked hard to make it happen, but with your dedication and thousands of miles on the road only helps to show how great an accomplishment you've achieved! CONGRATULATIONS!!
