Re: Live From Baton Rouge IHRA Sportsman National
Hi Mike thanks for the sheets. Might be a little easier for you if you have a photobucket account or something similar but that's how I do it. Upload my picture to photobucket then transfer here, takes about 15 seconds! Thanks again.

Re: Live From Baton Rouge IHRA Sportsman National
Update for the Super Stock Semis:
Jerry Hatch all the way in from Maine with his SS/EA Challenger benefited from a red light by Ryan Baudoin in his FGT/E 68 Camaro. Slate Cummings, his Cavalier in GT/E trim, runs down Benny Smith Sr's high winding SS/HA Camaro. |
Re: Live From Baton Rouge IHRA Sportsman National
Stock Semis brought you:
Wes Neely In his E/FIA third gen Firebird advanced to the finals when Floyd Russo in his A/FIA fourth gen Firebird red lighted #1 qualIfier Sam Porceau drove around #3 qualifier Matt Pellichino in a heads-up B/FIA battle going 10.03 to Matt's 10.08. |
Re: Live From Baton Rouge IHRA Sportsman National
Wes Neely takes the Saturday Stock trophy when he was able to force Sam Porceau to run under his dial.
Slate Cummings ran a 9.172 on his 9.17 dial to Jerry Hatch's 9.488 on a 9.47. Reaction times not announced. Photos to come to tomorrow after I get back to Houston. |

Writing content wise...... I'm limited only by wifi, having a place to charge the lap top, and getting info quickly. For two years I was a sports writer in my spare time. Is there any demand for reporting out of D-4? |
Re: Live From Baton Rouge IHRA Sportsman National
Great job, Mike!!! Thanks for taking the time to post pics / results.

How can I contact John Long Jr. ?
He ran a C/PS car and qualified in middle of the field. D |

Perhaps you can try through the IHRA? When I bought my AMC I got a phone call from the NHRA a few month later to pass along the phone number of the guy who built the car since he wasn't on Class Racer or any other sort of racing message board. So that idea worked for him. |

Remembering Indy Qualifying this year. Think the cut off was 0.94 to qualify. Some hot names did not make it. If not mistaken three of the top 5 qualifiers were a V/SA and two U/SA cars. Think the U/SA cars ran 12.9x ET...freaking unheard of ! One ran a 1.42 under, using NHRA Indexes. I think Pure Stock Indexes are too high for the HP IHRA lists for our cars. Or Vice versa our Pure Stock HP ratings are a little high for the Class. BUT we are doing fine attracting new Builders this year. Dan |

Well I was wrong, how unusual. Are there differences based on class or eliminator? I hope to be running SS/BS soon. I looked this morning and the NHRA index is 9.65 and the IHRA index is 10.05. That is a .400 difference. Maybe I was thinking of Stock Production, that index is 10:15. Bill |
Re: Live From Baton Rouge IHRA Sportsman National
You may not be completely wrong because the .3 applies to "conventional" crossover Stock & SS classes. I didn't research the other classes.
