Live from Las Vegas
Back in Las Vegas for the national event followed by the spring divisional rain out race Wednesday and then the regular points meet. Pitting went very smooth. was 44th in line and was pitted within 1/2 hour. We're pitted with our good friend Cal and MaryAnn Method as well as Bobby DeArmond. Tech day tomorrow. I'll try to get some pictures. Bobby got a new batch of t-shirts. He's had lots of requests for them. Almost time to head out for Pizza.

Re: Live from Las Vegas
Bob, is there any truth to the rumor that Bill 'red man 'Floyd has been relieved of his duties? Sometimes it's hard to separate fact from fiction ?
|
Re: Live from Las Vegas
It appears to be true. He was not pitting. I'm told he will be in Vegas at the divisional working for the track. Not nhra.

Re: Live from Las Vegas
I broke out my Bobby D. "First Stocker in the 9's" T-Shirt a couple of weeks ago at the Dutch - while Barton and Holbrook were trying to be the first into the 7's.
It turned out to be quite the conversation piece. |
Re: Live from Las Vegas
Thanks in advance Bob for all the highlights and pictures you'll be taking this week, and I'll see y'all next Tuesday. Have fun and I hope you both do great this week!!!! :)

Re: Live from Las Vegas
It took me 15 years of work to get a time ticket that looked like the one on the Bobby's shirt. When I got the ticket and saw the numbers you would have thought I was the first one in the "Nine's" by my display of happiness.
Then the always present haunting thought as you drive back to you pits, I'm pretty sure Bobby had the same thought. If we change this or that on the car it should be faster! What Bobby and Gary did was nothing short of remarkable, congrats again. Do the Shirts come in big boy sizes? We will be watching y'all on live timing at the "Rock" so good luck to all and go fast. |

Re: Live from Las Vegas
Bob , pretty good turnout of Canadians considering the dollar difference. Even ones from New Brunswick ! And even after 5000+ kilometres the Howes still lose long distance award to a Swede.

Elimination day is upon us. After a long day with Charlene running 4 rounds in the combo today should be quite relaxing with only one round of eliminations schedule. Present conditions 64.9T 61.5H 27.75BP 3295DA. We are going to be called to the lanes at 7:15 with racing starting at 7:45. Just about time to warm up.

Any word on Ray Skillman?

Re: Live from Las Vegas
Tomi Laine just sent me a text saying he is hurting and it will take time to heal, but he is alive and will recover. Thank God!

Re: Live from Las Vegas
Racing over for us. Charlene had a great race but just came up short. Time to shop for a new helmet and have a couple of cold beers. Just no internet here. Takes a minute to load classracer! LOL To the RV park in the morning.
