It was Larry's programming skills that made the onlne reporting that we have all come to rely on possible. Starting with the Compuserve Motorsports Forum and then with Drag Race Central, Larry continually refined and improved his software and we all owe him a huge debt of gratitude. He loved drag racing and dirt track and had a unique sense of humor. We had a lot of good times together and he will certainly be missed. RIP my friend.

My condolences to the family. A great loss to the racing family. Probably never got enough credit for his contributions.

As recently as July I sent Larry a message as a FYI and he quickly responded that the error was his "oops" and he had fixed it. Given some of the guff he took when DRC had to cut back some of their reporting (due to loss of some sponsorship) I was kinda surprised that he took time to explain the error in detail to me. Serves as another indication of how much pride he took in his reporting and the expertise he brought to the table. RIP Larry.

Anyone who knew Larry or worked with him would not have been surprised. No matter what anyone said, he still tried to do everything the right way.

I always enjoyed working with Larry through the 19 years DRC has existed. He was an innovator and a problem solver, one of the smartest people I've ever known. He was also a good friend and a great guy. God bless you Larry Sullivan.

Been on board since the CompuServe days, never met Larry, but admired the work he did , and all the "in the trenches" people that worked alongside Larry. Sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Well said. A true loss for the racing community. I can only hope that his work will continue in the future by keeping the site (DRC) going for years to come.

That's for sure. Seems we go to straight to DRC and expect instant results, which didn't happen without someone excelling behind the scenes. Or is that "Screens"?
