Re: thunder road divisional-weather
Some friends of ours from Shreveport were here for the weekend (Houston area). They said they've had a lot of rain with more coming Thur. thru Sun. I just talked to Trey, and he said the race on.

Re: thunder road divisional-weather
I just saw the local weather forecast and it showed a small chance of rain (10 to 20 percent) til thurs and then
on fri was 20, sat and sun 30. That's not too bad. |
Re: thunder road divisional-weather
Looking at the schedule I don't think there is much choice.
Sept 23-25 St. Louis National and Ennis ET finals Oct 1st Track has a booked in show scheduled Oct 7-9 Noble Divisional Oct 13-16 Ennis National Oct 21-23 would make 3 div 4 races in 3 weekends Oct 28-30 Track has JD championship November - Vegas nat/div then Pomona weather doesn't look great I will be there, rain or not |
Re: thunder road divisional-weather
Iffffff the weather does not cooperate, then it appears that Last weekend in October would work best. Should not be an issue to run JD and divisional same weekend especially since the track is scheduled to be running an event already. My 2 cents...and that's usually what it's worth. :p

Re: thunder road divisional-weather
We will be there too! Anybody know if VP fuels will be there?

Re: thunder road divisional-weather
Team Woodfin will be in attendance with the Super 10:)
I think the best option is to attend. Our D 4 officials will make every effort to get it done. Maybe cut back the number of qualifying runs and go into eliminations as soon a practical. |

Re: thunder road divisional-weather
Just finished E2 in SS and the rain hit.
|
Re: thunder road divisional-weather
According to weather radar, that rain cluster is now past Gilliam, might be able to resume yet today. and there's nothing behind it (for now, anyway).
|
Re: thunder road divisional-weather
Finished 2 rounds after rain hit. Finish tomorrow.
|
Re: thunder road divisional-weather
I think we were down to semis in everything and a big storm hit!
Not sure if its gonna quit in time so that they can dry the track to finish. I'm out in E4, so won't see if they finish. Good luck to those remaining. |
Re: thunder road divisional-weather
When we left track drying was underway. Track was good all weekend especially with the heat & humidity as high as they were.

Re: thunder road divisional-weather
Congrats to Greg Stanfield for his Stock RU, at his home track. We raced with him and his dad, Howard, back in the '70's, at the Hallsville,TX track. They were real nice folks. Mr. Howard always made it a point to come by and say hi, and ask how are cars were running. I think they were running a Chevelle wagon back then.
