Stockers on FS1's New Show called Burndown Battle
FS1's new show called Burndown Battle will premier right after the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in Brainerd, MN tomorrow. The show features two Stockers, my 08 Cobra Jet and Anthony Bongiovanni's 2010 Cobra Jet. It was filmed in Gainesville early this year. Anthony and me are not driving, but from some of the trailers I have seen, it looks to be a cool show.
The show starts at 5pm tomorrow the 21st, check it out. https://vimeo.com/168133963 http://classracer.com/fs1.jpg |

Re: Stockers on FS1's New Show called Burndown Battle
Great show if you mute the tv and fast forward to the end and watch the race. Great looking cars.

And why did the lowly sportsman racer have the slower car? |

It would be great for the eliminator, if they had a handicap matchup.

Yea, Man, Willie B 'Rocks'!
If the light weight S-10 driver, Mark Milano (Taco Truck) had made it Fast Jack may have had his hands full. I Loved the way they worked the sponsors into the program with out breaking for advertisements. |
Re: Stockers on FS1's New Show called Burndown Battle
They filmed 4 episodes yesterday at Bandimere. Willie B-Stephen Meade is one annoying guy. He is trying to do a lot of cool car stuff but needs someone else to do the hosting!

4 bracket cars run off ( the S10, 90`s Mustang, an early Camaro and Nova) The winner gets in Ken`s Mustang and faces Jack Beckman in Anthony`s Mustang. Correct me if I have the Mustangs mixed up IMO, Its a shame they didn`t use 4 Stock Eliminator cars to get to the Finals. Mike A114 P/SA |

when you watch it you think of pinks. when the Host of the show crash's his bike in front of all to see ya can't stage that. the selection process was far better my 2 cents |
Re: Stockers on FS1's New Show called Burndown Battle
I see most of you had the same opinion I did. I have heard that Willie B is a good guy personally and has done a lot for charities, but he is downright annoying to watch and listen to. As soon as I saw the first couple of minutes I didn't have to wait for the credits to know it was another Steven Pullin production (same as Pinks). I wish NHRA would team up with someone who can make an interesting show with Sportsman racers, but this does not appear to be the solution.

Re: Stockers on FS1's New Show called Burndown Battle
When I saw Willie B, I quit watching. He's about as good a TV announcer as Tony Pedregon!

So what do yall think their target audience is? It sure ain't us . Males 12-19 maybe I'm sure they have consultants to tell them "willie b" is their man. Guess those kids will buy a lot of royal purple for their civics and such.

Re: Stockers on FS1's New Show called Burndown Battle
Wow, what a crowd, must be the grumpy old men syndrome. I could do without The Willie and his man crap but with time there is a chance for improvement. I would enjoy and I'm sure that most drag racing fans an NHRA Today of the TNN days or even a show about the Dog Days of racing in Stock, Super Stock and Competition eliminator, now that would be a show. Wheels up competition NHRA already has it but are too stupid to promote it, thinking the Clown Funny Cars are it for them. Wake up before it's too late NHRA, two bell has already sounded, don't wait for the third one.CR
