Live From Fontana LODRS
Finally pitted at Fontana's track. Planned on being at Spokane but the weather was not looking good. The word of the day. TIME FOR A COLD BEER! The weather looks good for the weekend. I'll try to report on any testing tomorrow and post some pictures.

Re: Live From Fontana LODRS
Fred Moreno pitted across from us with his beautiful Mustang. And its amazing what you find that I never noticed stuck in the quartz lites in Charlene's trailer. A birds nest. Can't believe it made it from Nevada to California. We feel bad for momma bird.

Re: Live From Fontana LODRS
Bob, Thanks for posting some pictures. Good luck and hope you guys have great weather down there.
Strange to see Barcelon's Camaro with someone else's name on it. I was having lunch with Dave the day he was making arrangements to have it shipped to Phil. Have you heard any word from Spokane?? Just curious. |
Re: Live From Fontana LODRS
Bob,
If you get a chance would you be able to post some sheets? Live timing is down. |
Re: Live From Fontana LODRS

Steve,
I can't help but ask, why did you sell your car ? |
Re: Live From Fontana LODRS
Hey Bernie,
The desire just started falling off and I decided to put it up for sale and race it until it sold. Had a lot of good times though. |

Re: Live From Fontana LODRS
After what Carl went through with the theft of his 69 Camaro BBC stocker (a beautiful piece BTW) he is really happy with Stave' s car and is having a good time, talked with him today and he's OK !

Re: Live From Fontana LODRS
Bernie-I was about to post the same thing. Great to see my buddy Carl back out there.
Steve-I'm sure that you already know...the car is in good hands. Hope you all are well. |
Re: Live From Fontana LODRS
Bryan,
Yes, Carl is a great guy and I'm glad he's back racing and happy. I'm doing well and you are also. |
Re: Live From Fontana LODRS
I am very thankful to have the chance to go racing again. This weekend was a lot of fun and once again reminded me how much I missed the drag racing community after my Camaro was stolen. It was great to see old friends and also to meet some new people as well.
I would be remiss if I didn't give thanks to those people who helped me out along the way: Steve Cozakos for building such a nice car, Sean Cour for all of his assistance in facilitating the purchase and delivery, Scott Burton for the encouragement to find another car, and especially John and Terry Schloe who have been my mentors in this sport from day one.....there's no way I could do this without them. Lots of people have called, texted, and spoken with me since the Camaro was taken a couple years ago. I appreciate all of the concern, the offers to help, and mostly the support everybody who chimed in has shown to me. It's good to be back and I hope you all know how much I appreciate it. See you at the track....... |
