Re: 2016 Factory Stock Showdown Schedule
Does anyone know of a supercharged mopar being built?
|
Re: 2016 Factory Stock Showdown Schedule

Re: 2016 Factory Stock Showdown Schedule
The Bartons are building one for Mr Allegrucci, from what I hear. It will be interesting to see if they fix the Indexes, have any kind of payout, still run them with regular class elims, or Make them a Stand alone that runs when the crowd is awake........

Re: 2016 Factory Stock Showdown Schedule
So is the 354ci motor in 2015 rated at 540hp in SS the 707hp Hellcat blower car?
I am old so I am easily confused. I never so a lot of dialogue about the classification. Ron BTW - blower pro stock can't be far behind - IMHO |
Re: 2016 Factory Stock Showdown Schedule
There are two Blower combos. The one that comes in the 2016 dragpak, and the Arrow Racing Engine Carducci special (The one I would use). Neither one is the Hell cat. They are better.

BTW - there are no 2016 cars listed in the guide and there are not two blown motors shown -- YET and I stress YET - (this morning at 7:30 California time January 22, 2016). LMAO Ron |

No more Vegas Showdown! Bummer!

Re: 2016 Factory Stock Showdown Schedule
I agree with Kevin about the indexes, coming up with decent payouts, and running this program in front of the crowds. If these things things are not addressed this will be a giant effort in futility.
NMCA has a great idea but unfortunately their program won't work either from a competitive standpoint. There is no way a NA car can get light enough to ever be competitive and evidently they just don't understand the limitations of these cars. Also I believe Clay Arnett to be correct when he stated there is no way to mix the two types of cars in to one heads up eliminator even if the NA cars could get light enough. |

Re: 2016 Factory Stock Showdown Schedule
I think Barton has that blown one #5 I think above 1100 and looking for more and the other is not yet done, and is a work in progress. I think the 354 is 530 factored currently. Hopefully the run times, etc will be more attractive to people with these cars. Them high priced things don't run good at 8 am with empty stands.

Re: 2016 Factory Stock Showdown Schedule
Hey Ron, If your as far behind as Mopar releasing the 2015 blown cars, I call them 16s.-ha. I think the Hellcat makes the most power @ 707. The other ones are only 530/540hp.
