It's not a big surprise. That race had lack of support the last few years. I am sad to see it go, but unfortunately if We don't support the local races they will go away.

I personally think scheduling was the doom of that race. It usually falls on a tough, tough weekend of races. I know in 2015, you had the Atlanta National, Norwalk D-3 Event and Spring Flings plus my .90 association was scheduled to run at Maple Grove. Unfortunately, people will choose the higher grade point events over an Open, plus also it was the weekend before the MG D-1 event, a lot of guys were not going to travel up to NED only to come back down to MG for the following weekend.

From what I was told the Atco Open race will be one you don't want to miss.....

Looks like D-1 will return to Toronto Motorsports Park...good old Cayuga for a National Open in 2016. This give the Canada boys and girls another race to attend besides Naperville, LVD & Epping. Don;t know how many they will count towards the championship for the Open.

sad for NED indeed but might help us canadian racer lower our cost
because look like with the money exchange rate this year our 2016 season just took a 30% increase ouch !

Keep your eyes and ears open for the Atco Open. From what I also heard this is going to be the one race you don't want to miss. Details will be out shortly on this spectacular event. A racers race in every class... Look forward to seeing you all there.
