NHRA Division One Stock leaders have only two tiny little points between #1 Justin Picillo and #2 Alli Smyth .Both of them have seven races in - anyone taking bets on who is going to Vegas ? ? ?

I can remember when a racer didn't receive the little points for an out of division race. In this case 84 points vs 80 sure made a big difference .Anyways, Team Port a tree is all in as I just noticed that Allison is entered for the Finals. Best of luck young lady.

Is it worth the expense $$$ to travel from Mass to Vegas. I'm sure the entire trip will cost more than winning a division championship. I just look at things differently I guess.

I guess it's all about means. In 2006 I was second in Stock points in IHRA. I was 30 points behind and my choice was to go to Rockingham and/or the track in South Carolina. I didn't have the means ($$) to make the trip so I sat it out. Wond out I would have needed 50 points (after two other racers moved up in points). It was still possible, but I decided to let it go and settled for fourth. I think it would be great if Justin was given the chance to go for it.

I don't think they qualify as what everyone calls new blood, but they are young and talented and it has been fun keeping up with their points race. Very nice people also, if I had myself a "Rodnut" my stuff would be sitting in Vegas for Justin to finish what he started win or loose. Either one will make a good Champ, good to see some people even younger than me doing this gives me hope the class will keep going.
