Well we aren't quite there yet! In fact, we haven't left the house yet! Larry is still getting the engine back in the car. We hope to leave later today. Anyone who is there, please post and let us know where to park if we get there in the middle of the night tonight!

Great! Glad you are getting it back together, I don't know if it will be the same way as the National but we came in the main gate and went around the round track and staged back there when we came in after hours.
I'll be there tomorrow night.

We didn't go to the divisional last year, but 2 years ago, we went past the sportsmen gate entry and turned left up the hill to stage.

We got here about noon and got parked. We ran test and tune into a pretty good head wind. We have been catching up with old friends.

The weather for tomorrow isn't looking too good! 80% chance of rain, but then only 20% on Saturday and Sunday,

It's wet and the radar is very green, not good. Saw a D1 A/SA, wonder if its Miss Smyth trying to add to her point total? Helms and the rest of the hitters are here searching for those elusive points.


Its raining so hard now that the WiFi is affected.


Chef Jim did a feast of tube steaks that could not be beat. The Ladies whipped up slaw, (its the same thing as cold slaw up North just easer to spell), a cold pasta dish, fresh course chopped onions, a Wal-Mart vegetable tray, and thinly sliced, fried, and salted spuds in a bag. Just living the dream.

I rolled in late last night and I'm afraid it's my fault. The rain followed me all the way from the coast to the mountains, it made for some miserable driving at times. It is still raining at the moment and the radar looks dismal for any clearing any time soon.

Have not heard anything Chip but at this point I wouldn't be scared to say this will probably be a Saturday-Sunday race. Radar doesn't show any clearing very close and cool temps with overcast skies will make drying very slow.

Still raining! We haven't heard any announcements yet! Probably like Cooter said this will be a weekend race. Forecast looks better for Saturday and Sunday!

I know it does you folks absolutely no good whatsoever, but us folks here in Texas would truly love to swap weather. Its at least as dry and drought-stricken as it was in 2011 when everything was on fire. Only this time we've managed to escape the fires, but still no appreciable chance for rain in the forecast.

It was a slow news day, not a lot to report with showers most of the day. It did break here about 3 and some people got out and moving around a little.
I saw Mr Larry was doing a little work on his car and Jim Marshall was getting his golf cart turned up a little after Sterling blowed his doors off, if anyone can protect the hp rating on that cart I know Jim can. Also Mickey Whaley was at the Longhany compound getting a tune up on his cart.

Well it is finally race day here in Bristol! It rained a little more last night,but looks like it may have quit for a while. I hear race cars warming up!

I know the chance of bad weather was a problem, but 26 stockers is an embarrassment to division two. Good for a chance at a divisional Wally though.

It's a tough scheduling draw in my opinion Butch, not a lot of guys way down south are going to come this far either. You could possibly get some D3 cars but they probably opted for the National in St. Louis. D1 cars have Maple Grove next weekend and Charlotte was last weekend, hard for some people to do back to back weekend's anymore.

About the time the track crew had it dry another shower came through. Decision now is to set the fields and 1st round of eliminations starts at 8am tomorrow.
The decision was made because another round on the radar is heading this way.

We ran first round earlier, I really don't know a lot of winners. Helms on the bye, Justin Picillo, Ally Smyth, Dan Blabolil over Mickey Whaley heads up, Jeff Hairrington, Chip Johnson and myself. Missed the rest but will try to find out.
