Al Anabi in the news!
ABC news had a story tonight on either the al anabi prince or his brother racing through city streets in California in million dollar cars, blowing through stop signs. When confronted by a local news person he implied diplomatic immunity . Basically said get out of here, you don't know who you are messing with, I could have you killed. Good guys! http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/l...htmlstory.html

Yet another reason to stay out of the Middle East. This is from the United Arab Emirates (Dubai). They have an unusual problem of derelict Supercars. Pay your bills over there, folks. http://www.thecarlabs.com/abandoned-cars/ Dale |
Re: Al Anabi in the news!
This incident is getting a lot of attention from the media. According to the you tube video the driver in question made a very disparaging remark about the good ole USA. Reminds me of the old bumper stickers that said ....USA , Love it or leave it. I sincerely hope in the future that AJ racing or NHRA for that matter doesn't have to stoop so LOW as to include this TRASH in the Pro pits. I love the USA.......M.J.

Re: Al Anabi in the news!
1. This thread is not Stk/SS related and belongs in the lounge.
2. Nobody even knows who was driving. To attack someone specific is silly. 3. Racism is not the answer. There are a lot of really good people from the middle east. Don't be afraid to get to know some. |
Re: Al Anabi in the news!
This thread is not Stk/SS related. Correct. Nobody even knows who was driving. I have watched numerous videos concerning this incident and I will bet my sweet bippy that it wasn't a Caucasian or African American driving the vehicle. Racism is not the answer .Correct again. There are a lot of really good people from the Middle East. Absolutely. If just two of them would respect our traffic laws and not disregard a RED stop sign in a residential neighborhood .....we wouldn't be having this conversation. Regards Jeremy, ......M.J.

Re: Al Anabi in the news!
Just a little update. It was the guy that was sponsoring AJ's fuel team. (I would type his name but dont really know it all or how to spell it.) It was on the news the other night and they even brought up the fact that he was sponsoring a NHRA Top Fuel team. And he left the country quickly when this hit the news soon after the incident. I for one am not shocked by this. Look what he did when Crazy Moe Atat. Was involved in the accident that caused a death while street racing. Just more of the same.

Re: Al Anabi in the news!
Apparently he fled to Vancouver, staying in a swanky hotel downtown. I will have to look for the Al Anabi street race division team cars on the local roads. I'll flag him down and see if he can sponsor me.

Re: Al Anabi in the news!
I figured these guys would have been over racing at the Hajj Fall Nationals. Staging lanes were a little crowded, but looked like a great event.

Re: Al Anabi in the news!
"Al Thani reportedly flew back to Qatar before he could be arrested".
