Great Video.. To this day I still believe the best wheelstand I ever witnessed at a national event was Mike Saye against Kenny Morris in SS/HA class eliminations at the Gators. Saye went at least half track in the air and when he landed he had a fender on Kenny and went on for the class win. Wish someone had a video of that one to post.

I was at that race in 2010 and snapped a photo of the launch.Best race i have seen.I keep that photo on the dash of my DP so i dont forget why i am spending all this $.Thanks for posting it.

Thanks Rob for some great footage! Alot to be learned there on alot of shots. Especially impressed by watching some of the landings and precise front suspension control! The Mans' Firebird is a really good example of no energy wasted.

Randy Mans built the struts on my firebird shown at 2:53 in. From the day I bolted them on, the car has felt totally different. It is always controlled and lands very smoothly.

I watched that! Very well controlled! I think that the front suspension on a race car is every bit as important as the rear end dynamics in terms of traction and ultimately performance. We have always known that a "loose" front end with a lot of travel helps with hook but with more power, better tires, etc. being able to dial in the right amount of wheel stand vs. maintaining a stable landing is very important. Also another variable in adjusting reaction time.

Agreed on the front struts being crucial for nice landings.. The one Rob has of my car was with the old struts. not pretty.

I finally spent the coin on Santuffs, and the difference is beyond amazing.

at the Gainesville National event.

Wow, so this thread has taken off with a life of it's own. lol So first of all thanks to everyone for all the comments, I do enjoy that. If I was at this race and got this on video it would make this years top ten! I didn't see you entered for the Gatornationals, so I guess I won't see you there.
I did see that video, very cool, however this was all MY footage from the year, not from everyone's footage.

Unfortunately I put two rods out on my last qualifying pass. Won't have it ready in time to make the Gators.
