Sad day indeed. Fellow Olds racer. I had the pleasure of meeting him years back at Joliet. He was too young to leave us.

Re: Johnny Williams RIP
May the 'Cajun Nightmare" Rest in Peace!
One of the greatest guys I've met racing Stock. Allways a great time talking and joking. Johnny did not want anyone to know how sick he was, found out about it from his good freind and Olds racer he brought along. Was asked to keep it to myself as Johnny did not want to talk about it, did not want sympathy just have fun at the track. Spoke to him at the Dutch last fall, met his wife and son. Johnny offered to help me in teardown. This is not supposed to happen to good people! My condolences the Williams Family: Johnny's Wife and Son especially, his friends and family for the great loss.:mad::mad::mad: |
Re: Johnny Williams RIP
Met him while I was working at State Capitol Dragway. He bracket raced for years (could have been the same car) prior to moving north. One of the really nice racers out there. RIP Johnny.

Re: Johnny Williams RIP
Very sad to hear of Mr. Johnny's passing, he was such a kind man. I personally hadn't seen him in 5-6 years yet he still remembered me from traveling around with my Uncle Mark and ask my dad about me at the Dutch this year.
He will definelty be missed :/ Thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family Jonathan, Don Lensch and Mark Dickerson #1114 F/SA |
Re: Johnny Williams RIP
Johnny was one of the first people to walk over and say hi back when I started racing. In the early days we traveled and raced together. My fondest memory was at an IHRA Race locally. Johnny stayed at my house and at dinner, we joked that we would see each other in the final. Low and behold, we did. He was just as happy seeing his friends win and would always be the first to say Congrats!Johnny always achieved a lot with limited resources and typically was the first to help another racer in need. Johnny Williams never experienced a day in which he did not feel blessed!
The racing community has clearly lost one of the heart and souls of grass roots racing. Prayers and thoughts to Johnny's family whom he was so very proud of. Godspeed my friend! |
Re: Johnny Williams RIP
We will certainly miss Johnny driving the Cajun Nightmare, one of the coolest stockers of all time. Not only was Johnny always smiling, his quick wit and humor always had us smiling whenever we were around him.
RIP Johnny and our sincerest condolences to his family. Katie & Jack Sepanek |
