Although we'll see some remnants of summer, particularly tomorrow, we've been treated to a Fall preview here at National Trail Raceway for the NHRA JEGS SportsNationals. 75 Stockers made the first of two qualifying runs, led by Drew Skillman. 4-5 cars were more than a second under, including a stout -1.01 under pass in G/SA by Tom Rambo. It's supposed to hit 77 today, but with overnight lows in the high 40's, it's taking plenty of time to warm up. Jusr before 10am, the weather was 59.7 F, 72%, 29.21, 1230' DA, with a slight cross headwind. One more hit today, and then we roll right into Round 1 at 8am tomorrow (see www.nhradiv3.com for the revised schedule)

(See http://www.dragracecentral.com/Serie...Filter=5144660 ) Congratulations to Dan Fletcher on his Super Stock win, Allen Wade on the runner-up, and a tip o' the cap to recent Bowling Green LODRS winner (x2!) Rylee Stufflebeam on her semifinal. I'd like to say a hearty thank you to my long time friend, Best Man at my wedding, and car owner Terry Knott for the use of his truck, trailer, and beautiful Dart Sport to win our first Stock race on the NHRA side. Who drives an 8-hr round trip to get to a race on the other side of the town where he lives? LOL It was worth it! Congrats to runner-up Jim Boburka and semifinalist Lyn Smith. Lyn changed a converter between qualifying rounds on Friday -- must've found what he was looking for!
