SS/JA should be good!

If you look at the class it should really be entertaining to watch . A bunch of really fast cars!

My money's on Decker over Niceswanger in the finals. Tons of fast cars in J, can't wait to see the results.

Re: SS/JA should be good!

I'm with you, Ed C. I'll bet Ed W didn't really even tear his apart last week. His master plan to make EVERYONE think he was shy on power, only to come out tomorrow and drop a 9.80 on everyone. :D

Good story, huh??

Ed Carpenter 08-29-2014 01:18 AM

Re: SS/JA should be good!

Ed's car is faster than that .12 he's run so far I'll tell you that. He's got more.

I figured we see something in the .80's.

The mice are outrunning the cats today!

Along with all of the rest of us who ARE SMART with this combo! But, that probably takes that Combo out of SS/JA now for everyone running the '85 Camaro with EFI 215/256 Hp.

I think Terrell ran 9.804 or so. Not quite a Tuesday present, but cutting it awfully close!

That's a really good indicator as to how important Indy really is.

I go with Ron we just went a 9.805 this is th us nationals if your sh** ain't fast the don't come but don't run your mouth behind a computer that's probably why you car isn't here

Re: SS/JA should be good!

The Tin Soldier is the baddest SS/JA car on the planet hands down! I'm sure he didn't mean to run quite that fast as you can tell with the mph he was out of it.

5919 SSKA 08-29-2014 12:10 PM

Re: SS/JA should be good!

FYI---Casey...I broke at the Lucas Oil Nationals, and have been -1.00 under several times in SS/KA and SS/LA with that combo, even held a National Record at -1.23 under (old index) so---good for you. Congrats on going fast at the Big Go!

I get this is part of Class racing...

I've never hid behind anything. I can't...I'm 6'1" and #260 ;-)

Re: SS/JA should be good!

Mine is still down on power. Should have stayed my tail in Oklahoma. Pretty embarrassing. I had nothing for anybody. If I keep racing, I'm going back to my old combo. Had enough of this one. Ricky & Ronnie both went 9.80s. Ricky won what looked like a close one from where I was standing.

Yeah, but you have a race to win now, so it's all good.

Re: SS/JA should be good!

Looks like the Tin Soldier wasn't the baddest today. Congratulations to Ricky Decker . Parsons and Myers power!

Ed Carpenter 08-29-2014 05:09 PM

Re: SS/JA should be good!

I'm surprised Terrel went a .80@124 in previous round. I figured he could go at least a .76 or so.

countrypuppy4865 08-29-2014 05:39 PM

Re: SS/JA should be good!

Air was at least .05 slower from round 1 to round 2 of class I would imagine it was another .02-.03 slower for round 3.

pbp1 08-29-2014 06:41 PM

Re: SS/JA should be good!

Ricky took care of business! Does that make him the baddest JA car in the universe?

Mike Voth 08-29-2014 06:56 PM

Re: SS/JA should be good!

What this does is diminish the value of the record books. Seems like whoever takes a record, no matter the class, there is still someone capable of going 2-3 tenths faster. I think records should be mandatory. Meaning, if you run fast enough to set a record, you get it, no questions asked. Then, you get to tear down. That would take the "legal or illegal" debate out of the equation. Just my two cents. Maybe I should have kept that to my inner voice.

Cotten 08-29-2014 07:27 PM

Congratulations to ricky on his win and to ron as well on reaching final. Two awesomely fast cars. It was a lot of fun.

Ed,

I feel your pain, I didn't have near enough either but still had a good race with Ricky. It was good to meet you finally, you have a nice ride.

Congrats to Ricky and Ron for their performance!

Ronnie made a wrong decision by making a change to his car after that 9.805, at 124 (killed ten MPH) before he ran Ricky. He was sick about it, but we have all done that. Personally, I would have been afraid to touch it. LOL

I was very impressed with Ricky's car! I had no idea he was now that fast.
Mike's Cuda is faster than last time I saw it run. Think I'm the only one that has gone backwards. About par. LOL I guess trying different parts is how we learn. :-(
Congrats to everybody.

After Columbus, I picked Decker to win whatever class he chose to run at Indy. Damn fast car, and a great guy,

Ricky car is fast. We did not want to get the combo hit and ricky did not either. Lets turn out the scoreboards or in class get rid of that 1.20 under bull**** and we will show the world how fast that little 305 is....... 1.20 needs to be stuck up the ***** and in class at indy let the fastest car win without hp.....:d

There's no AHFS at the Auto Meter Northern Class Nationals. Decker won SS/IA in Lucas Oil Class Eliminations, plus the Quick Fuel Quick 32 there.

Was Larry Stewart there with Lloyd's Drag Pak?

They put that car in SS/JA, and everybody there's feelings are going to be hurt.
