Well let's see. Winning? Nope, If that was it I'd have to quit. Having a good time? Yep , that's one good reason. The challenge of the build? Yep, that's another good reason. Fishing? Don't have time or money to fish, trying to figure out how to get that next .02 out of it. I have met a lot of good people at the races. Derek

Challenge of building a competitive car, having fun making it better, and winning was the prize for all the hard work. Friends at the track were always the benefit of being involved in the racing.

Added thought and fact. For 30 years our family friends and neighbors were the people we saw everywhere at the races. We had neighbors and friends at home but they couldnt relate to our passion for using up our nights getting ready to spend our week ends on the road to be with our racing friends....

Having a good time is the most important for me. The life at pits, all of the friends there and of course racing. Winning is just a Bonus, especially when our team is still learning...:cool:

I still love the challenge of racing a front wheel drive car. History making still abounds in stock, and I love the challenge of possibly being the first to achieve those feats that fwd racers have yet to reach. That would be the ultimate for me, but being out with my racing buds throughout the country is great too!

Being somewhat long in the tooth, I race NSS because I still enjoy it so much.

It gives me place to race without blowing all my retirement, hang out with a lot of long time friends, and hang onto yesterday a while longer. The best thing is that my sons race and it allows me to spend some real top notch time with them.

I've long since realized that I'm not going to get rich doing this.
